Hellboy 2 [DVD] [2008]

I bought this film from Amazon.co.uk for the "Reel Heroes" art sleeve design. I'll be buying as many as possible in future RH design cover films.Ron Pearlman is tailor made for his depiction of Hellboy. In short, a superb film fantasy adventure.Kind regards,Movie Mad Marcus 🎬 🎞 🎥.

Ever since I first heard director Guillermo Del Toro on the 2004 DVD commentary track, describing the few minutes of footage omitted from the movie, I've always wanted to see them. And thankfully, I can now say that this DVD director's cut/extended edition disc box set doesn't disappoint at all with both the extra footage and a wealth of extras across the three discs. I particularly love watching the video recorded cast commentary track, as Selma Blair's deadpan comedic sly asides are a hilarious joy. The movie itself stands as one of Guillermo's very best English language fantasy movies, full of great genius invention, design and love.

Hellboy 2 is another great film to own on Blu-ray. It has action, comedy and even some romance scenes The story isn't as good as the first film but still good and we get to see more of the lives of fairy tale creatures hiding in the modern day world. .

£2 doesn't get you an awful lot these days (a bus ticket perhaps?) but it does get you this impressive 3 disc box set! The film itself, director's cut or theatre release, is worth buying on its own and I'd even argue that it betters the first few volumes of the comic series. The real value is the sheer amount of special features and commentaries that take you behind the scenes make this a great purchase. I thoroughly recommend buying this edition. So, if you are still enjoying DVD and haven't jumped ship for BluRay, this is a fantastic bargain.

Can't begin to say how much I love this film.The Mood, the design, the music, the BRILLIANT prosthetic effects, and just a fantastic production all round.Perfect level of Smart-Ass-ness, and Ron Perlmans' portrayal of Big Red is genuinely awesome, and strangely endearing.Ah the pebbles on the rooftop...Can't recommend it highly enough, and this edition has some fantastic extras, which only made it more of a great buy.

I've bought this twice now from 2 different sellers both advertised as PAL region coding and both times it's been shipped from the US and doesn't work.

I got this as I'd watched Hellboy 2 first and wanted to see the first film.This is very good. Fun and humourous and done with a lot of style and colour and imagination.I absolutley love Pan's Labyrinth and think that Del Toro can do no wrong. A great fun film

Can't say I'm the hugest Hellboy fan, I bought this as a present for someone who was. They pale in comparison to say, Pan's Labyrinth, but are still entertaining and imaginative.
