i follow instructions terribly, and still lost 12 lbs
I'm pretty pleased so far. I'm only 17 days into the use of the plan. I started at 274 lbs and am now at 261, I'm 6'4" so I don't look to be obese, but don't ask my so called friends that question though. And if you listen to the Wii, "oh dear God". Anyhow, 2 be honest, during the 1st phase, I still drank a few beers occassionally, and not the girly light stuff. I also, as my title states, did not do very well in following the plan directions for at least the first week. Typically my guilty pleasure prior to the plan had become snacking in the evening. So I won't lie, during the first 17 days, I was hungry in the evenings but I only snacked on vegies or fruit. My goal is to get to about 240 and I'm sure, for me it will be a struggle. One plus is I already really like salads, but to learn what to and what not to put on a salad is great knowledge. Though the 2nd phase of the plan allows for more variety in foods, so maybe it won't be so bad. At 13#'s lost, I feel I've had good success dispite my ocassional discrepency from the plan. Get your family involved it is certainly easier if all are on same plan My son and wife have helped keep me on track and I look forward to the 2nd phase being much better success.

The 17 day diet workbook
Dr Moreno gives good step by step instructions as to how to eat and exercise so I can't wait to get started, but I did order the wrong book. This was recommended by a family member who looked fabulous after following the 17 Day diet plan so I can't wait to get started. This will help me as I have gained weight and never had to do a diet plan before. However, when my sister-n-law tried this plan I saw what it did for her. In all she lost 20lbs, just by eating the correct foods at the recommended times with the exercise program that was specified, I was impressed with the results that she got from following Dr Morenos 17 day diet plan. So I immediately ordered the book for myself.

The 17 Day Diet Workbook ----
I just purchased the diet book, the cookbook and the workbook! I like to keep a journal of my progress on my diet so I can see what I did that works and what didn't work so I won't keep doing the wrong thing! I just started the diet yesterday and lost 3 pounds when I got on the scale this morning. I would highly recommend this journal to go with the book and cookbook! It will help keep you focused on your diet journey as well as help you remember what you have to do in each of the 4 phases of the diet and keep it from being overwhelming!Buy the set! It will keep you focused on your diet, and your exercise program!

Very helpful to start you off.
Bought this along with the main book and cookbook. It has sections for water intake, food intake, meals, snacks, cardio, toning, what worked, what didn't, how you're feeling and a review checklist at the end of each cycle. At the end of my 3rd cycle (51 days) I was down 20.2 lbs. Once you complete this you can use your own notebook to keep going if you choose to start the cycles all over again since you know how to keep up (track) with everything

Who other than the person dieting would eat these receipes, very expensive to buy ingredient

Great diet if you like yo-yo
The book is easy to follow. The first time around i lost 10 pounds and the first bowlof ice cream later, i gained 2 back. This diet starts with restricting carbs and then slowly reintroduces carbs back into your diet but unfortunately the weight follows. I am in the yo-yo affect now. Total regain is 12 pounds. Back to Cycle 1.

Best Lifestyle Change You Will Ever Make
Recommend this diet and this workbook to anybody wanting to lose weight and get healthy. I have struggled with diets for years, but with this diet the weight just dripped off. Made my goal weight within a few months, then kept on going to a NEW GOAL!! It was easy to follow, I wasn't hungry. Had lot's of energy and motivation. Dr.Mike teaches you how to eat and change your lifestyle so weight will never be a problem again!! The only problem is all the new clothes you will have to buy....but check out Goodwill....lot's of great clothes there for skinny people!!!

17 Day Diet Workbook
This is much more than a work book. While there are spaces to fill in your meals for record keeping- which is great- there are also some new and interesting recipes that can be used. Even if you do not use these recipes, they supply you with ideas for ones you yourself can develop. The other interesting thing is the tips that are provided. It is almost like a way of keeping you involved, reminded and encouraged. This book passed my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone who has purchased the 17 Day Diet Book
