I can’t fault this jigsaw I love an electric tool, this is light weight so your not struggling to use, great value for the money, changing the blades couldn’t be easier, comfortable to hold while using, a brilliant bit of kit.

Jigsaw received and immediately put to work cutting 4" x 1" timber fencing. Performs very well, the vibration at the hand grip is damped down quite well and the blade (supplied) is universal for wood only. The blade itself is firmly clamped in a twin screw holder with a roller underneath to guide and support while cutting.Motor cooling air is exhausted out just behind the blade to clear wood chips from the cutting line which is very useful!I have awarded 4 stars as the blade clamping screws can fall out when loosening the clamp to change the blade - they are fiddly to put back! Also there is no centre mark on the front of the baseplate to assist straight line cuts (I made my own with a paint pen - so can you!). I should add that my old unit would never cut in a straight line from new and was just short of twice the price of this B&D unit!A good solid unit for the occasional DIY'er at a price not to turn your nose up at - recommended!

I bought this to replace my 30 year old Black & Decker KS531 (370 Watts) which after 30 years of service finally broke in the middle of a job.This being the KS501 is smaller in size, good quality, strong, powerful & well made. It cuts wood like a knife in butter. It's easy to use and comes with a 2 year warranty.I contacted Black & Decker to register the saw on their web site. They said you did not need to register, just proof of purchase, so keep the receipt if you have any issues and contact them through their chat bot on their web site.It should have come with a kitbox, which was not supplied, I contacted Amazon and they gave me the option to return / replace or would give me a 30% refund. I took the 30% discount and store it in a box.Would Recommend..

I only wanted a jigsaw for a couple of small jobs, so did not want to spend too much.I was very surprised how good and quick this tool is. Build quality is good. The one downside is fitting the blade which is a bit of a job. Would have been easier if the instructions had been better.Having said that it did what I wanted so happy.

Arrived in good time but sadly with no blade! Excellent jigsaw otherwise.

I made a wide research before buying my first jigsaw :) I checked the cordless ones, they are both expensive and requires battery to buy seperately. Black Decker's 520 W product is useful, handy and perfectly working. It helped me a lot in first 1 week even. I have the desire to use old wooden plates and make furnitures =)
