The Best…
I had another aftermarket radio kit. It looked better as in color, but that was it! The Radio moved around a lot, and even the angle of the screen gave a lot of glare! This one is much better angle and more secured!!! Even with the plastic supports bracket’s. Getting the front fascia of the kit to fit and lock to the supports can be tricky, but after that 100% better n secure!Picture is mid install. Sorry no finished yet.

Better than the Metra harness
This matches the Tacoma dash perfectly, and the smooth face plate looks fine, especially because this unit has the same notches at the top like the stock stereo cover. In photos, the color looks off, but it is a perfect match.I ALMOST bought the Metra dash kit but putting them side by side in photos showed me the Scosche was a far better match, and I don't regret that decision in the slightest. In photos with the Metra dash kit, it just looks cheap compared to this one. Also, reuse the stock metal brackets when reinstalling your new stereo. The plastic ones that come in either kit are too flimsy.

Perfect fit and color match, reuses your metal oem brackets
This Scosche double din kit is nice looking and perfect fitting in the 05-11 Tacoma. I had the free double din Metra kit for 2 years, but ended up losing the clips after a handful of removals. And I never was satisfied with the Metra fitment and it’s strange bezel ring. Or the hazard button and clock fitment (button would stick). Or the cheap looking copied golf-pip texture. This Scosche kit reuses the panel clips from the stock radio, so don’t sell or throw away the old radio. As a hidden bonus, the universal plastic brackets aren’t needed... the steel stock radio brackets can be reused, so you get 100% secure and perfectly aligned radio. The radio bolts in place first, then the Scosche kit simply clips on perfectly. No gaps, no flexing or creaking like with the Metra kit. The only thing I don’t like is the flimsy trim ring...it doesn’t fit well, and it’s thin, so it flexes inwards on the top and bottom, but it’s not really noticeable. Unfortunately my Alpine’s trim ring doesn’t fit without modification, this is minor. The color match is great. It’s 100% matches the grey hazard button, and the grey vent surrounds. The instructions are pretty terrible, but DIY audio fans don’t really need instructions. Very pleased with kit at the price I paid.

Works as advertised
Would be 5 stars, but the color is half a shade off. Noted by other users, knew it would be, but can't give it 5 stars. Fit and finish looks great other than the color. Looks like a factory setup.

Just right for 2006 Toyota Tacoma double din installation
Added a touch screen double-din and this fit just fine. Dinged a star because of the difficulty attaching the mounting arms for the stereo - thin, cheap plastic that kept coming apart. Also because the front is smooth rather than textured like the OEM piece. Finally got it all together and it popped right in - it has a little give when inserting the USB cables, but not when pressing the touch screen. Looks good and doesn't rattle.

Few tips when installing
not a bad kit. the main piece did not match the painted pieces to either side of it but did match the piece around the shifter so i didnt really care about that.NOTE: 1.this is the non textured kit, it is smooth.2. also make sure to use the yellow plastic clips from the stock radio and put them on this kit, i think there are 5 of them.the biggest issue i had was the plastic side brackets. when installed on the radio you could not get the radio to the correct angle in order to put the dash kit in. plus they were cheap and flimsy.i used the stock metal brackets and they worked great.NOTE: when using the metal brackets: install them on the radio, set the radio in place in the dash, do not install the bolts into the brackets yet, install the main dash kit piece. once that is snapped into place then install the 4 bolts into the radio brackets from underneath the radio that way you wont be forcing the dash kit on if its a tight fit.all in all this kit worked for me.

Best fit
I previously had the metra kit. It fit very poorly and would wiggle loose over time and temperature changes. The brackets were also flimsy and the stereo would bounce around. This version is much better. The brackets interlock with the puter trim piece for a nice flush mount and secure mounting.Ive seen people comment on reusing the stock metal radio brackets but they absolutely did not fit at all for me.

Used
Well to start this was used not a big deal other then the price and the fact that the black spacer didn't fit at all making the radio look like crap good thing I don't care enough to return it. But it's a heads up to anyone else thinking about getting this garbage.
