Reliance Power Parts 13-030 - 30 Amp Golf Cart Voltage Reducer (36v/48v to 12v) - 360 Watts! with Dual Power Source

I purchased a used golf cart that had a 16 to 12v converter which was draining 2 of my 6 batteries. I purchased this converter which uses all 6 of my batteries and couldn't be happier. I wired up the golf cart lights and they work perfect. The converter turns off with the key which is awesome. My old converter was always on. Easy to install and looks well made. Saw an install video on YouTube and I was impressed!

This reducer is built with very good quality. I've installed it on my EZGO 48v and I'm feeding two 12v accessories only for now but their instructions and video on youtube for installation made the install job super easy. I was new to voltage and installations of these products but was able to install it without any problems and even switched it with the key of the cart. Very satisfied with this.Installed a fuse box for my accessories, went from the red accessories wire to the fuse box and grounded to the B- ground on the battery pack. I've also installed a bus bar for my grounds so I don have to keep running back to the batter pack for every single B- ground cable. See pics

Well this is a life saver. I have a 48Volt Electric Boat (Duffy). This boat has a serious design flaw. They use 4 of the batteries (6 volts each) in both parallel and series configuration to make 12 volts. They put all the accessories (heaters, stereo, fridge, etc...) on those 4 batteries. Well the main issue is the charger isn't smart enough to realize that these batteries are discharging way before the rest. This causes these batteries to slowly lose charge over time and eventually kills the range of the boat. We have been stranded in the water a couple of times thinking we had a full charge. This is serious design flaw from the manufacturer. After struggling with this issue for years, I finally purchased and installed this unit. It's a life saver and totally works as expected. My boat now shares the load of the 12Volt accessories across the entire 16 battery bank and they all discharge and charge equally. It's amazing. It's been about 4 months now and no issues. I payed more for this unit after reading other reviews and I really feel it's worth it.

After recieving the unit boxing and condition were greta, Sadly after doing what is a very easy install the unit, did not function. I have a 48V EZ GO and I like the idea if using the entire battery bank to power a stereo im installing. The unit did not have any voltage on the switched 12VCD side or constant 12VCD side. I have decideed to return and repurchase the unit I will follow up on the function of the next one I get.

I connected this device to my customer built Club Car DS. The device was easy to wire, especially with the YouTube video, and mounting it wasn't bad either. It is a little bulkier than others but it is clearly a more superior product. I have the LED million light kit, radio, LED headlamps and tail lamps connected to it and you cannot see a draw at all when all devices are on. Take the extra step and connect the accessory wore to your radio as well as the ignition.
