Forum Novelties Outta Space Robot Costume

I purchased this as part of a costume for a drag show performance. I'm 5'8" and 150 lbs, and it fit very snugly, much like tights or leggings. I tried it on several times before the performance, and the decoration started to flake off in the highly stretched areas, like the upper thighs, crotch, and forearms. I was able to color in the areas that wore off with a black Sharpie, and was wearing a dress and long gloves on top of it, so those areas didn't really matter. Those that plan on wearing this alone will have to keep this in mind, and try it on minimally before wearing it as a costume.The look of the suit is striking, and got top complements. It is hand-wash only, but I tried machine washing it inside out on a gentle cycle, and line drying. It worked, with the aforementioned flaking happening in the same locations.

Made the best robot, very sexy and fun costume, sewn lighted tubing on it for special effect in the dark!

Immediately realized that the fabric texture was going to be uncomfortable and was warrent of a heat stroke warning. (Might be better suited for Halloween idk yet)2nd, looking at the seams I say some strange fraying between the legs and found the hole. Somehow either the seam came undone or was unfinished. Looks as though the 2 halfs werent lined up and so unfinished. Those corners are hard to sew sometimes.Packaging was a flimsy bag roughly tapped shut. Could have confused it for a 2nd hand item repackaged.I'll fix the hole and find some other use for it.

Design is good but the sunglasses do not work. They do not fit properly. Size is as described and fits to 42" chest no bigger.

I can't imagine this fitting up to size 14/16, as it says on the packaging. I would say up to size 8 would be ideal for this costume. Also, I know for the price and the fact that it's a costume, you can't expect the best quality, but as soon as I tried it on, the black robot design starting coming off at the crotch and underarms and other areas (i'm guessing this is due to stretching and friction, but c'mon, it's a bodysuit, the garment should withstand that). The one good thing I'll say about it is that the design and suit does look pretty cool once on, but for the quality, I can't imagine it being able to last more than 1 wearing.

This costume shipped very quickly, and was exactly what I was looking for in a women's robot costume as a base for a more elaborate costume.I only gave it three stars because of the sizing. I am a size 6 (5'7, 130 lbs) and this will only just work for me. The arms are kinda short and I could use an extra 1/2 inch in the torso. Other than that, it's snug but not too tight. The zipper catches a little, but considering how relatively inexpensive this costume is it's is fine.Overall, I'd say if you are a size 6 or below and no taller than 5'8 this would be a fine and reasonably priced costume investment!

So I only needed this for one night and I loved it. My body type is 6 feet and about 160 pounds and was a great fit. I noticed the black not coming off but just being stretched with the material when I would sit. I only needed it for one night though so it was fine for me.
