Set of 4 Battery Operated Window Candles Black Onyx

I was really stressing about paying this much money for them. I saw all the reviews people posting that they were worth it, but I will be honest and say that I was a little afraid that the reviews were planted. I can tell you they were not. The first thing I said (out loud) when I open the box was "wow". They were all nicely packed and the bases are definitely not plastic. They have the timer which I've tested all 12 of them and everything a one works. The candles pull out so you can easily change the battery or replace with something else if you want to. Furthermore the bases actually have a little hole in the bottom which I'm assuming is so that you can put them on something so they don't move. The other thing that is important as the color of the light, I noticed a lot of the inexpensive candles have a very orange light which don't always look very nice depending on what they are. These are clearly a normal bright light. I'll be honest I order these through Amazon prime with the full intention that if I wasn't satisfied I was going to send them back… But I will be keeping these. The only things I I am not sure if I care for are: The lightbulb is clearly a special kind of lightbulb that needs to be re-ordered from them for replacement, but I guess that's what you have to do for the timer part? The color of the bulb is really white, which most people want, I am sort of a soft light girl, but I would definitely rather have them write like this than orange. Each candle takes for batteries but I am guessing that will make it last longer. Also it makes it a little heavier to which is nice to stay put behind your window curtains .

I ordered from QVC and looked on line for what seemed like an eternity….then I found these. Yes they are pricey BUT you get what you pay for. I ordered the black base, they are nice and weighted. The quality is wonderful. The candle is brighter on the side that faces out and dimmer on the inside. I put them in the window and went out to the road to view them and they were stunning. Needless to say the candles that I ordered from QVC didn’t compare (they were a different brand) so I sent them back. I wish I had taken a picture to add to the review. My friend came by before Christmas and wanted the info on them because she liked them so much. You will not regret ordering these!

I purchased 4 sets(0f 4) and so far I am very happy with them. They have only been going on for one week so my biggest concern is how long the batteries and light bulbs are going to actually last. I am hoping they will last for one season because for the amount of money not only the candles were but also the expense of the batteries is very pricey.I love the fact that when I come home from work all the candles are already on and I don't have to go around before I go to bed and shut them all off......lets hope they last or I will be one very upset consumer.

I bought five sets in December 2017. Three of the candle sticks have broken. Any chance I could replace those without buying the base again? I really like these, very bright and pretty but wish they had lasted longer.

These window lights are very beautiful and bright but.... some light bulbs were shattered and broken upon arrival. Once the 4 batteries are in you have to push down the light bulb very hard to get the light to come on. The light bulb would pop off all the time on a couple of the lights. One light bulb shattered in my hand while doing this. These replacement light bulb are very expensive and the lights take a special bulb that you have to buy online. I also had issues with the timers. Sometimes they seemed to work fine but then would be back on again in the morning, or one or two wouldn't come on when they were suppose to. They take a larger window sill and were very unstable on mine. I really like the look of them but unfortunately I will be sending these back.

Love the look of the candles. They are sturdy and look nice. Unfortunately, they are ridiculously bright and don’t look like a flame. They need a warmer glow to look real. I’m wondering if I can add cellophane wrap or paint them so it looks like fire from the outside? The inside light is ok.

Was looking for something that is bright from the outside of the house, but not too bright inside. The bulbs on these candles are brilliant. They work just as described. The candles themselves are sturdy, and the base is solid. I’m extremely happy with them. They were just what I was looking for. Some have written that the bulbs are dedicate, but I think they’re sturdier than described. Highly recommend them.

Love these candles, love the flickering of light. I have a set in my front windows and get many compliments. I bought these for my kitchen and entertainment room.
