Pinch of Nom Budget: Affordable, Delicious Food

This is the latest Nom recipe book, I have all the rest, and the first thing I noticed was it's a paperback where as all the rest have hard covers. It does mention this in the book itself but doesn't exactly say why. If it's supposed be be a book of budget recipes at a budget price I didn't really notice this reflected in the price.Neither does the book explain why each recipe is 'budget', you just have to take their word the dishes will be cheaper to make than ones in their other recipe books. Also many of those recipes are quite similar to recipes in those other books and even within the book itself, there are several variations on Mac & Cheese for example.There are also some recipes that I would describe as culinary abominations, pasta with chilli or pasta with curry flavours, which I'm sure are very tasty and I will probably try, but odd.Having said all of that, it is a good collection of lower calorie recipes, many that can use an Air fryer or Slow Cooker and many are also suitable those on 5:2 or intermittent fasting diets so overall I'd recommend.

I love pinch of nom books I have all of them BUT!!! This one is soooooo good I'm literally obsessed with this one I use it more then the other pinch of nom books lol.I go through the book plan my meals for the week and see what I have in the cupboards/fridge/freezer. I then work out what ingredients I'm missing and go get the items and WOW!!!!!my food bill has dropped massively each week but even if I don't have all the ingredients for one week and I have to buy each ingredient for all 7 meals then I'm still saving money which is bloody plus considering the state of the economy right now.In winter I am going to do all the bulk cook meals from this book so that I don't have to go out as much in the autumn/winter weather and I get healthy hearty meals that all my family enjoy, I've even had to make "repeat me" bookmarks so I can go straight to that page and know that meal will be polished off.It's well worth investing in this book.

I bought this to try and help save some €€€ but I don’t love any of the recipes in this. A lot of them are not very appetizing and too many are mac n cheese based or pie with mash on top. Not that don’t love pasta or mash but there could be more variety in my opinion. I have all of the other PON books and I have some staple dinners I now make every week from them but this book just didn’t hit the mark for me. I also think there may be some slight repetition in this book with recipes from the previous books or at least bug similarities (but not as nice). While I understand it’s food on a budget, I don’t think multiple samey dishes are necessary.

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book for the Budget Parties campaign and so have gifted this book to a friend.I have more cookery books on my book shelf that regular books and so sometimes when I open a new book I’m not surprised by the contents because it’s a rehash of the old stuff and yet this book delivers!PoN Budget is packed with family friendly and friend friendly recipes both sweet and savoury, the recipes are easy to follow, fun to make and tasty!I held a dinner party for 10 and we enjoyed the sausage tray bake, the honey soy chicken, a fresh side salad and I we all devoured the strawberry galette, raspberry cookie brownie and the malt chocolate ice cream. The ages of the group was 2-68 and everyone great smiles and full bellies.What’s more I fed 10 people and had plenty of leftovers for lunch and dinner the following days so it really is a Budget friendly book!I also love that it’s wipe clean as I split some flour and cocoa powder on it and they wiped up easily without ruining the book!If you are a new family venturing into food, a student looking for a sweet fix for studying or just want to try some budget meals it’s a must have!

Simple but fantastic spin on everyday recipes worth having for quick and easy to put together meals shame that I could not get it hard back issue to match the other books in the range which are well having for great ideas for different meals e.g. Enjoy and Comfet Food meals have not been the same in our household since the purchase of these brilliant and we'll put together and easy to follow recipes .

I have all the Pinch of Norm cookery books and use them at least three or four times a week, I have tried some recipes from this new Budget edition and as with the other cookery books from Pinch of Norm we have enjoyed the vast majority of meals I have cooked.

Great book from PON as usual. I love all the other recipe books and use them every week. This is a great new one with delicious recipes on a budget.

Love these books, have a few of them now and love the recipes.
