Superman - Son of Kal-el 2 Paperback – November 28, 2023

Love Tom Taylor's writing. good characters and good story. I am glad to see that he doesn't make the bad guy always win. I am looking forward to more of his stories.

The art style is really nice and unique. Recommend for any one who wants something new and different. The story is interesting and keeps you wanting to read more and more.

So I stumbled on to vol 3 first and now catching up. Reviewed the other volumes. Over all I love Jon Kent Superman. The character is great , he stands apart from just being Superman 2.0. We have a very fresh take on a modern Superman. Recommend the series and im looking very forward to reading more.

Even if just for the art, this is great. The story could use more polishing but it is still fun read.

Vol. 2 of Son of kale is pretty good. A few funny moments, a few flash back of how Jon and Dick met. And we learn more information about the rising.

Jon ventures further down the rabbit hole while growing more comfortable with his new responsibilities. However, his feelings of being overwhelmed result in Nightwing coming up to provide some much-needed mentoring for the young hero. During all of this, The main villain's plan for global domination takes place with a new set of heroes appearing to undermine Jon, media information to weak public appeal for Jon, and we learn what role Lex plays in all of this.I'd say that it was a solid follow-up. It didn't go anywhere I didn't expect it to go but I still liked it nonetheless.

Growing up as a gay kid in the MIdwest, comics and especially superman were an escape. Superman had a secret and was different than everyone else hiding who he truly was. Also for a gay kid not out, he was strong, handsome and despite being one of the most powerful beings in existence, selflessly protected everyone whoever they were. No wonder he continues to be my favorite hero and fanboy crush. Seeing the stories of his son, with values coming from this father with his own fresh stories, take on the world and its current state and injustices, and of course Jonathon's coming out story .... this series has me in awe. Its DC so you don't get consistent art with different ones for issues, but the majority of them do an amazing job of covering an epic storyline.

Great arc so far. The character building has been great and the artwork is amazing. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
