We've had these tongs for over a month now and they are holding up really well! I throw them in the dishwasher after every use (on the highest heat wash & dry cycles) and they still look as good as new. The metal the handles are made out of feels nice and strong. Now I find myself using one of them every few days... so of course I feel silly for waiting so long to pick up a pair. This set in particular seems well made and I expect them to last a long time. I feel safe letting my older children use them because they are sturdy. I would defiantly recommend them.

First off, these are just excellently designed tongs - rigid yet with flexible tips, they make grabbing food easy. I was a bit concerned the silicone 'teeth' would make it slippery, but they hold food just great.The silicone on the handles has a little 'thumb indent' that makes grabbing them easy and secure. The 'latch system', where you can pull up on the loop on the back end to lock the tongs in the closed position is genius - no more having tongs spring open in the drawer to jam things up!Add in the fact that these tongs are easy to clean, and I'm impressed - about the only thing you lose with these is the ability to "test-clack" the tongs as you walk out to the grill (every dad knows what I'm talking about!)
