Really pleased with the set, as a complete beginner and LOTR fan I was so pleased to find this set. 1st class seller will be buying from them again.

This was my first foray into Magic the Gathering (MTG). A lot of MTG fans don’t love the Lord of the Rings edition. However as a huge Tolkien fan, I love this game. The artwork is beautiful and notably a bit different to other LOTR artwork. It is kind of easy to play but I had to look up a lot online to make it easier. This pack is great as it has two ready made decks that are good to go.

Standard Magic The Gathering booster box. It comes with 30 packs of 12 cards each and one box topper. In each pack (other than the box topper pack), you will have 1 art card, 1 card that is either a reprint from previous card sets or a token, and 10 additional cards. Drops for mythic cards are increased by comparison to draft boosters. I would recommend this set for the flavourful nature of the artwork and lore related to Lord of the Rings.

Being an ardent fan of both 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'Magic: The Gathering', I was intrigued when the LOTR MTG Deck Starter Kit was announced. Having spent a good amount of time exploring it, here's my take. Shining Points of the Kit: Faithful Incorporation of LOTR Lore: This kit is a masterpiece in how it weaves the intricate tales and characters of Middle-Earth into the mechanics of MTG. Whether it's the abilities of the One Ring or the might of the Riders of Rohan, every card resonates with authenticity. For fans of Tolkien's universe, each draw feels like diving into a chapter of the epic saga. Value for Money: For the price point, the individual card values are impressive. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing with artwork reminiscent of Tolkien's world, but many also hold substantial gameplay and trade value, making the kit a wise purchase for both collectors and players. A Slight Shadow Over the Shire: While the integration of lore and the card value were spot on, I did find a disparity between the deck strengths. The green and white deck, representing the forces of good in Middle-Earth, felt considerably weaker compared to the menacing might of the black and red deck. It's a small gripe, but it did hinder the gameplay balance a bit. I would've preferred both decks to be on equal footing, ensuring close, nail-biting matches every time. Final Words: The LOTR MTG Deck Starter Kit is an absolute treat for fans of both worlds. It's a beautiful amalgamation of storytelling and strategic gameplay. Though it would've been perfect with slightly more balanced decks, it's still an impressive creation that promises hours of Middle-Earth infused duels. Worth every coin of the Shire!

This starter kit is the perfect item for a Lord of the Rings fan and someone who is looking to get into MtG. The card quality is great and the art on the cards is fantastic. The set comes with two download codes for the Magic the Gathering Arena PC/Mobile game, so you can share a code with a friend and play together. This set also comes with a robust starter guide, although I learned the basics through the Arena app. Highly recommend for any prospective MtG players who are looking for a cheap entry to the hobby.

I stopped collecting magic cards, however wanted a 2 player starter kit to occasionally play that would also entice friends and family or might not understand the rules. The Lord of the Rings set is perfect as its a fantasy IP that everyone is familiar with. CONS: Ultra Pro deck sleeves won't fit in the deck boxes provided, so either have loose sleeved cards or boxed un-sleeved cards. Unfortunately, the deck boxes are about 1-2mm too small for protector sleeves so I think thats either a design or marketing flaw. On amazon, its £3 more expensive than buying it in the local gaming store, that surprised me! The lands are basic lands, I was hoping for the LOTR themed lands, that's a pity, not a big deal. PROS: Two codes for MTG Arena, gives the ability to play online and invite a friend to play online ! Nice presentation and cool deck boxes. Great for new players unfamiliar with MTG.

El producto llegó en perfecto estado, bien embalado y con la caja precintada, sin daños visibles. Compré esta Collector Booster Box tanto por la emoción de abrir sobres como por ser fan de Magic: The Gathering y de El Señor de los Anillos, y en ese sentido la experiencia cumple. Las cartas tienen una calidad altísima, con ilustraciones espectaculares y tratamientos especiales que resultan muy atractivos para coleccionistas y seguidores del universo Tolkien. Desde el punto de vista de un jugador de Magic, hay cartas interesantes y versiones alternativas muy bonitas, aunque no todas son especialmente relevantes para juego competitivo. Está más orientado al coleccionismo y la experiencia de apertura que a optimizar mazos. Como fan de El Señor de los Anillos, el set es un acierto en ambientación y referencias, y se nota el cariño puesto en trasladar personajes, lugares y momentos clave al juego. Aun así, en mi caso la compra estaba muy ligada a probar suerte con el Anillo Único, y no salió. Con el precio que tiene, eso deja una sensación algo agridulce. En general, es un producto ideal para fans de Magic y de LOTR que disfruten abriendo sobres y coleccionando, pero no lo recomendaría si la compra depende de que toque una carta concreta. La experiencia es divertida y visualmente espectacular, pero la inversión es alta y la suerte manda más de lo que gustaría.

This a great deck out of the box, there are some obvious changes like the birds and the treefolks but overall is an awesome deck, fun to play, it is agreat value buy if you love JRR Tolkien books and like MTG
