Not very religious at all
All the other films I have watched of Bible stories are ponderous, or over-acted, or have aweful special effects that undermine the tremendous stories, but this series does not. It lets the stories speak for themselves, the creative licence with the original texts really works without undermining them, and it allows the stories to come across in a way that enabled me to catch a sense of the excitement of what it might have been like to have actually been part of them.
