Fennstones flat loose real natural slate furnishing stone rock for aquarium fish tank & vivarium reptile lizard

I actually got these for my hamster because he needs some stone in his cage to help wear down his nails. It's pretty hard to find suitable stone that isn't mineral based. A lot of the other stones on offer for rodents or reptiles are either huge or have terrible reviews saying that they're dirty. Not to mention that lots of people just don't sell stone because it's heavy to post. I wasn't sure of these because the size wasn't too obvious, but other reviewers have helpfully left photos that help you get a feel for the size. I thought they were reasonably priced so picked some up. I'm so glad I did. They were really well packed so they were protected in transit. They were clean and well cut. I gave them a wash anyway before giving them to my hamster, but they didn't look like they needed it. They are the perfect size for him. They sit nicely in his cage under his water, wheel and his main walkway so he's walking over them all the time and as you can see, he likes to just sit on them in general because they're quite cool and we've been having some hot weather. They're also small enough to go in the fridge, so I can swap them out during the day and provide him with cool slates to sit on during the hot weather. I think they're thick enough too. I don't think they'd break easily. So all in all I'm very impressed with these! I may get more as I expand his cage!

Nice slate pieces, big enough for what I wanted to do with them but not really as big as the photo shows.

Bought as decorations for reptile terrarium and they look great. Didn’t use them all so have some spares. Very well packaged and seem to be good quality. Easy to clean too.

The sizes are a bit off, you cant build it at all, you definitely need a much bigger slate to make a roof. But I've just used them for the bottom of my tank and it looks good:)

I brought these slate prices for my fish tank,l like the more natural look,and wasn't disappointed,you can arrange them as you wish creating nooks and crannies,for the fish to hide,or push them into the back wall of the tank to create a wall effect! Great value, versatile,and natural looking.

Very thin stones, broke quite easily which was a bad thing for me as I originally meant to use them for building something in my aquarium. Instead they became a purely decorative feature in my tank.

Ordered and the first lot got lost in the post, but there was no hesitation and a second set was dispatched and arrived very promptly. Looks good in my fish tanks and gives a few more places to hide. Thinner than I had expected so I had to bury them in the gravel but that's hardly a hardship.
