Good Value, Not Pigmented (less permanent). Adio$ Ep$on Ink$
I don't sell my prints and I needed a cost effective alternative to the highly expensive inks that Epson provides for my 2200 printer. This system fits my needs. It is important for anyone who is thinking about purchasing this product to note that it IS NOT pigmented ink. The claim on the box is UV resistant. I don't exactly know what that means in real world stability of the ink (fade resistance). I don't care about fade resistance because any image that is worthy of high quality printing goes to a professional photo service. In practical terms, this product attached to the printer easily. The instructions are printed on about the lowest quality paper and ink setting imaginable, and are difficult to follow. Don't count on the photos in the instructions to be completely helpful. The Photo Black ink does not appear to be as Black as the Epson inks, but, again, not a problem for me. Prints seem to be okay.In summary, this is a good choice for anyone who is not looking for permanent inks, is trying to save some money, and is not afraid of a bit of a "Rube Goldfarb" type setup for your ink supply. If you plan on selling your prints, and are an honest person, this is not a set I would recommend because I'm pretty sure the prints will begin to fade fairly quickly if left in bright sun. Too bad the company does not give a permanance score to the ink.

Having a CIS is the only way to go!
Recently I purchased a CIS for a Epson Stylus Photo 2200. After years of buying one use replaceable cartridges and spending money for products that were expended after a few printer cleanings, I finally gave up! There was a better way and if you want to avoid expensive cartridge replacements, I suggest you invest in a CIS Continuous Ink System. I purchased my CIS through Amazon after some research on HOW they work. After installation(which was a breeze)the ink supply was more than adequate in the contained color reservoir located next to the printer. Cartridges NEVER need to be removed or replaced. Ink is added at the reservoir. When the ink levels drop you add more ink and the printer is set to continue printing.Recently, I ordered the seven set refillable bottles for the 2200 on Amazon. Match each color to the reservoir color ID tag, add to the fill line and that's it!! CIS systems can be ordered on Amazon for many printers. This was a great purchase and over time, It will save you a lot of money, not to mention the quickly drained (one use) cartridges that once they are empty, are useless. You can communicate with various companies that sell CIS based products on Amazon and after a few e mails and information on shipping and how they work, you'll be convinced. If you are an avid photographer and print a lot, this is the answer. Looking back, I ask why didn't I do this years ago. A CIS may work well for you, find out, you won't regret it!

Easy installation CIS for Epson 2200
Unit installed easily, without the mess I have had with another system and started up immediately without difficulty. The tubing was more flexible than for another CIS unit I have for another printer of the same make. (The printer on which the unit was installed had not been used in over a year and had several clogged feeds - buying a 500ml bottle of cleaner eliminated worries about not using enough when using it to clean all feeds - I would advise this cleaning before installing the CIS as it removes a potential problem that is not CIS associated). A cardboard spacer between the top of the Epson 2200 feed unit and the top of the CIS feed block is needed to hold down the tubes. Longterm use (re: clogging) of this CIS unknown. Nice to have the UV inks already in the tanks.

Great way to breathe life back into an Epson 2200!
If you are tired of burning through Epson ink cartridges, this is a good solution. Notes:1) Print out and build profiles for your paper and this ink, (it is not an exact replacement for Epson inks) A colormuki is good for this.2) The instructions were written and photos were from a number of different Epson printers. The 2200 requires care in how the tubing passes across the printer to the ink container on the left side, not to the right side on some Epson printers.3) Place a reminder note to open the lid BEFORE you power the unit on. The tubing will hit the lid and can jam the print head.Generally a good value.

Didn't work for me
I came home from vacation to a subtle fish smell in my office which took several days to find. The black ink disappeared from the tank and I have only printed a few test pieces. Not sure where the ink went but looking under the printer I didn't see any ink so I can only assume the ink is trapped in the printer some where so I ordered a new printer and will retire this one.

Worth every penny, easy to install.
Works fine. As other reviewer stated, you must position the ink containers at the left if the Epson 2200 and not at the right as the instructions suggest. The lid on the printer moves up and down when printing so i leave it open while printing. Colors are the same as in the original OEM cartridges. For the price of less than one set of cartridges you get many more prints with the added advantage of viewing the ink level all the time. I'm very happy with my purchse.

Not what I hoped for.
Soooo, 2 of the ink tanks have mysteriously emptied...COMPLETELY...to where, I have no clue. I rarely use my printer out of sheer frustration. The color is not rich and bright as I was hoping.

Clogged Nozzles
I had to send these inks back and should have known better to have used them in my great Epson 2200 printer. Three nozzles got cogged and no matter how many times I tried cleaning them, they never recovered. Amazon was nice enough to return my purchase price.
