It's the end of Ouran as we know it
I spoil a bit here and there, but hey, it's fun. Give it a try, please?Okay, so Haruhi finally tells her favourite idiot that she's in love with him. Unfortunately, Tamaki is so flustered by her confession that it takes him a while to find an appropriate way to convince his beloved that he's smitten, too. And while things with Tamaki's family seem to finally be resolved (with the grown-ups talking to each other at last instead of taking everything under their own schemes), the Host Club is re-opened. Tamaki even finally takes Haruhi on a proper date (although the other Club members find a way to supervise things). But through all of this, Haruhi has been given an opportunity to study in America for a year. Tamaki actually encourages her to go, which surprises all the Host Club, and Haruhi also wants to tell everyone that she's really a girl before she goes. But Tamaki has his own plans for how to keep the love bright and strong, and the rest of the Host Club isn't willing to let their favourite brown-eyed girl forget them, either. There are also two extra, shortish stories set after the major story arc has ended. One involves Kyoya obeying his father's request to go to Barcelona to meet the girl who is a prospective bride for his brother Akito. Although the girl comes from a traditional Japanese family, she's a free spirit who wants to experience more of life on her own before settling down. But once Kyoya accepts an assignment, he isn't easily dissuaded. The other story is a sweet little piece where Haruhi realizes not only that she wants her future to be with Tamaki, but how much Tamaki will do to become the ideal husband.Throughout the book, there are tiny pieces, mostly on borders or one-splash pages, about each of the major Host Club members' futures, as well as a handful of other major side characters. Most of these just give sketchy details, and encourage the reader to imagine from there (for example, Mori will definitely get married according to one page, but what his wife will be like could be a free spirit or someone very traditional and reserved, take your pick, o reader). But the last pages are of the wedding most readers would have liked to see... only too few! It's sweet and funny, and very, very much like the entire series. A really pleasant ending to it all.

The last part of a great series!
It was my brother who introduced me to "Ouran Hight School Host Club" some years back. It was the anime series. After having watched it and loved it I discovered that the anime was based on a manga. I bought all available books it wasn't finished by that time) and to my great joy discovered that there were not only many stories in the manga that wasn't included in the anime, but that the manga continues long after the anime ends. So with the manga one gets the full story. And I have to say I really liked the ending. The story in itself you perhaps already know by know since you're reading this about the last book. But to summarize it it's about Haruhi. A girl from normal circumstances who is bright enough to get the scholarship to Ouran High School. The most luxurious and expensive school in the country. And presumably also the best. Her short hair and baggy clothes (she can't afford the school uniform) results in her being mistaken for a boy. And since she does not care much about that she doesn't say anything about it. So when break an expensive vase that belongs to the Host Club she has to work for/with them until she has paid it of. She has to pose as a boy and take part in all the events (of very varying kinds) that the Host Club hosts while dealing with the other members of the Host Club who knows little to nothing about "ordinary" life. It's a fun, slightly whimsical and lovely story which I highly recommend. Mostly for females I suppose, but I'm sure males can enjoy it to. It was after all my brother who recommended it to me in the first place.

This is a series of books aimed at teenagers and this particular series is about a school for very rich students which a poor student gets a scholarship to attend. Very amusing.
