Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 17 (Volume 17)

I watched the OHSHC animated series twice and it's such a good anime! I can't say I know everything about the show properly as I haven't read the manga so I thought I'd order this and it came in good condition and I'm pleased!

I spoil sometimes, a bit. Take that as you will.Okay, our hero Tamaki is having a rough time of it at the start of this volume. His grandmother is still trying to get Haruhi to go abroad (to another country) because she believes that since Tamaki is the only eventual heir to the company, he must marry "well". He dare not even speak to Haruhi at school, and to the surprise of everyone at Ouran, Haruhi returns to her slovenly appearance she had way back before the vase incident in Volume 1. But this is her way of supporting Tamaki, letting him know that she will trust in his ability to accomplish the family unity he craves on his own, while she will wait.But Tamaki's father, Yuzuru, has been working for years to try to make his mother accept both Anne (Tamaki's mother) and his son, and has finally developed a plan to circumvent his mother's strict control over him and his two most precious people. He has worked with Anne's family company and also with other companies, including the one belonging to Kyoya's father, to develop a cure for the disease that plagued Anne most of her life and also allowed Tamaki to be removed from France and Anne. He also persuaded all the board of the Suoh organization to remove said grandmother/mother from her role as chairman, putting him in instead.Kyoya and Haruhi, as well as the rest of the Host Club, are shocked by the way Yuzuru has ignored what Tamaki really wanted-- to be united with his grandmother, as well as his father and mother. Kyoya is even more upset that Tamaki was in fact used to enact revenge. Tamaki stops going to school entirely, and when Anne arrives for a short visit, Tamaki states that he will not see her without his grandmother's permission.But Haruhi and the rest of the Host Club learn that most of the school will go to incredible lengths to help Tamaki, as well as the staff at the second mansion where Tamaki used to live. And Hikaru tries to convince Haruhi to finally tell Tamaki what all the rest of them knew for a long time-- that she's in love with the idiot prince.There is one more volume of Host Club still to come, but it's all nearly done, people. And Kyoya still has a trick or two up his sleeve. Gonna be good, just like this one was.

Very good! The book itself was delivered relatively quickly and is brand new. The Ouran High School Host Club is an excellent manga series and I would recommend it to anyone!

This is the best out of the whole series! Finally get to see the drama behind all the humour as well as the relationship between the two main characters ;)

Another wonderful volume of Ouran Highschool host Club! Full of fun that should never end. I could give you the synopsis but I'm sure by now you know it. This volume is a must read, especially for any OHSHC fan. Mind you people who have come directly over from the anime, it's better to start at the beginning rather than the middle as it is quite different.

Band 17 der turbulenten Abenteuer rund um den Host Club der Ouran HighSchool.Mit rasanten Schritten geht die Geschichte ihrem Ende entgegen: Der HostClub existiert nicht mehr und Tamaki spaltet sich zusehends von der Gruppe ab... I love this Manga and can't wait to read the rest of the series. Bought this as a gift and she loves it too. Great Anime as well.
