Perfect for D&D and tabletop
Purchased for use with D&D. Size is pretty much perfect, and I just don't care that it has no base for tabletop grid maps, as I feel like a dragon is of such a size that we just fudge the numbers (on the dragon's side). I like Safari's dragons because they can each be multiple things, such as hydra, vorpal, mutant, wyrm, water, etc. Homebrewing a blue dragon crossed with a hydra = funI'd also like to add that the price may seem high, but the paint and plastic quality are unbeatable. Not even Schleich can compare to some of the detail these pieces; I would argue Schleich's only superiority is that some of their dragons have less conventional details and colors, which looks cool, but not enough to justify Schleich's higher prices. The paint on Safari is meticulous and clever, incorporated well into wing and fin areas that may be transparent plastic, and the great sign of attention to detail was dead-on every time -- namely, the eyes aren't all F'd up. On any mini or toy, the rest can be perfect and freakishly placed eyes just ruin it. Safari doesn't do that.

My Son LOVES these dragons, the HYDRA is his FAVORITE!
My son absolutley LOVES these dragons. He is 5. We belong to a lake and he brings his collection of dragons with him to play with the other kids. I have heard a multitude of comments such as "Wow! Those dragons are cool!" and "That's an impressive dragon collection!" These safari dragons in general are well crafted and hold up to a lot of abuse and still look amazing. They are expensive. Which really is what holds me back from buying all of them. The expense does make them a great collection item though.Anyway, onto the Hydra. My son loves dragons that have more than one head. The hydra looks like the picture and is durable and well detailed.

Beautiful
I love all of the dragons from this company. I feel like they are pieces of art. I will collect them all one day! The painting on it is good quality as well.
