Classic film noir
I’m a movie buff. I love forties screwball comedy, but I also love private eye thrillers, and gangster movies. Bogie is great in everything he did, (including the romantic lead in Sabrina). But he excels in these four movies. His chemistry with Bacall is obvious. Watched all four movies as soon as they arrived. Highly recommended.

How Bogart and Bacall became Hollywood legends.
I liked the selection of Bogart and Bacall films. Bogart tends to be quite similar i.e. he's the bit of rough self-confident stone-faced tough guy who always beats the crooks, but still he's ok. Bacall was exquisite in the To Have and Have not, a real femme fatale but still such a sweet young girl. In the other films, she was just a good girl. It's great to watch B & B together, the intensity, the twinkle in the eye and rapport in their relationship.

A great collection
If you like classic old films then this is a great collection of four films - worth every penny.Don't expect car chases and explosions, and the acting is very dated. However, still wonderful old stuff.

Classic films, a must buy if you love the movies.
All 4 films are brilliant classics of the silver screen. A must have for movie buffs. Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall deliver sublime performances, their on screen chemistry leaps off the screen, it's no wonder they got married. For me, these films represent the golden age of Hollywood.

Bogart at his best
Four great movies. Nice package, good price, great quality visually. Just wish the many TV channels would show more B&W movies of this genre, Bogart, Cagney, Stewart, Peck, Ladd, Powell, the list is endless.

endlessly recycled by TCM (Turner's Crappy Movies, I believe they're hilariously called)
Got this for an 83 year old guy who's stuck in the past.Member of the John Wayne fanclub(Big John sends him a fanletter from the grave every Christmas, suppose he's got plenty of time on what's left of his hands I suppose). This guy loves any film from the 40's and 50's,which is a change from Diehard 1-200, endlessly recycled by TCM (Turner's Crappy Movies,I believe they're hilariously called). Yes,he liked this box set.

Excellent collection
It has been said before, the chemistry between Bogart and Bacall add power to the films in this collection. Every film worthy of high praise, and the supporting actors excel. A worthy box set for any film collector.

Best monochrome film ever!
What more can be said which has not already been said about this classic, which is accepted as probably the best film ever made?
