DEAR CASABLANCA FAN: GET READY TO HAVE FUN BEING “SHOCKED, SHOCKED”
Did you know there’s a typo in the opening credits of Casablanca? And did you know that a legendary comedian was an extra in the production? These are just a few of the fascinating tidbits you’ll uncover in an entertaining, easy-to-read treasure trove overflowing with astonishing tales and facts surrounding an American movie classic. You’ll discover a strange-but-true story, or an amazing detail, one after another, one per page, covering every aspect of Casablanca, from the opening credits to the last line of dialog. With a book as brief as this there’s a natural inclination to want to read it quickly. My advice: Resist the urge to zip through it too fast. Then you’ll have more fun being, to quote a line from the film, “shocked, shocked” at all the interesting things that turned what the author of this book, Horace Martin Woodhouse, calls a “hastily conceived and executed studio film” into an enduring, iconic masterpiece.

I actually thought I would learn nothing new from this ...
I actually thought I would learn nothing new from this slim book. But I did find out things I didn't not know about the film. An enjoyable read and I've read all of the Casablanca books.

Must have for Casablanca fans!
You'll be viewing the movie again with book in hand. The number of people associated with this film was phenomenal! Their back stories are intriguing. Great fun for film buffs!

Worst book on Casablanca the film
A very poor attempt to make a book out of trivial and unimportant information related and unrelated to the greatest film of all time, Casablanca. No real fan of the film should buy it. I wouldn't again.
