Great starter set but plastic needle too soft
Ordered this for my 7 year old granddaughter. She's never done cross stich before but she loves unicorns & has done the outline in a few hours. Only negative is the plastic needle has bent at the eye end & the tip end which has a small ball shape as it was even difficult for me to push through the holes so I've had to give her an ordinary metal needle which she finds much easier.

Great item and fast delivery
Bought for my 7 year old granddaughter but not given or used yet. Item was despatched very quickly and looks really good - plenty of thread, pre-printed outline and pattern. Great people to deal with :)

Good Introduction to cross stitch
Very good introduction to children, this was brought for an 8 year old who is very able and followed the instructions very easily.

Looks nice
Nice looking although for kids first time cross stitch the guide holes in the material still seem a little small. The safety needle has quite a large ball at the end which makes pushing it through the material quite difficult

Easy for young children.
Wanted something easy as my child first attempt. This is perfect.

More confusing than helpful!
The outline drawn on the material does not match the stitch pattern provided we got about half way and everything was off and he outline was showing through so had to throw it out. Better off using the back (blank side) of the material and following the pattern. Makes it more confusing for novice stitchers!

Not for young children.
No what I expected. My six year old grandaughter found it difficult.
