Very good (though my car hasn't been stolen yet)
Working well—after deciiphering the heavily accented user guide.Don't be put off by the rat's nest of wires. For a basic but very effective installation you can cut most of them off, keeping just the red wire, the black wire, and the white wire. Actually you don't absolutely need even the white one. Connect the black to earth and the red to a 12V supply that is always on (e.g. the one the supplies your clock or keeps your radio from locking down). If you do want to use the white wire connect it to a 12V supply that is on only when the ignition key is turned far enough to power up accessories (e.g. the other 12V supply to your radio). If you know what you're doing and you aren't intimidated by lots of wires and relays obviously you won't cut them off. You will then be able to exploit all the features of tracker, with additional sensors and alarms, and the ability to stop the engine remotely. If the SIM you choose has voice mail enabled by default, first pop it into a normal phone to disable voice mail. For example, with an O2 SIM you would dial 176002 to disable voice mail. The translation of the user guide is not always adept. For example it mentions sending a message to the tracker to "turn off the oil". It really means "turn off the fuel".

easy to install for basic functions using a giff gaff ...
after my focus st was stolen decided to fit one to the wifes car, easy to install for basic functions using a giff gaff sim, still hasn't used any data or credit in over a month. tracking is accurate and the online tracking is good. did a lot of research into trackers and insurance a £599 top of the range tracker with a £17 a month subscription only reduced my insurance by £10 a year on 2 of the top 10 cheapest quotes! so basically fitting an expensive tracker will cost me more money than I would save. on that basis I went for this model, glad I did and will buy and fit one to my next car.

Cost effective vehicle tracker
Good price for a well featured device. The request for an ad hoc location is a bit odd, a telephone call instead of an SMS request, but works ok once you've recognised this subtle difference - all other commands are sent by SMS. Used O2 Classic PAYG SIM as a very cost effective way of communicating. Like the remote GPS antenna for positoniong where a signal can be picked up in the vehicle - GPS seems more sensitive to body metal work than GSM. Not using the other functionality, though handy to have for the future? Load current at 13V is around 70mA, so make sure your car battery doesn't go flat, if not used regularly.

Works well except the balance command makes the unit stop working.
Everything was working well after install. The unit responded to SMS commands and and sent its location when it received a phone call from an authorised number. That was until I issued the "balance" command. The instructions on using the command was not very clear but after I issued the command the unit reset and would not respond to any SMS commands. Everytime I sent the unit an SMS command the unit would reboot. I was frustrated and tried to reset the device on the computer but the files offer no way of factory resetting the device. I had no choice but to order a new one and return the old one. All the other commands work except the death suicide "balance" command.

Amazing bit of kit
Amazing bit of kit, especially for the price. Bit of a mare setting up, compounded by so many options: fuel cut off, horn, microphone etc. but you don't need to use them all. Worth persevering. For basic tracking just add a SIM and spot on. No subscription, only cost of SIM - text charges per location requests.

Great unit for price and am very pleased
Have now installed one of these in all of our cars they do not appear to be too much drain on the battery and with a pay as you go chip cheap onging peace of mind - would recommend looking on You Tube before installing as instructions provided could be better. I have not used all of the features but can call tracker to acurate location. Fairly easy to set up - would also recommend set up by just hooking up to battery before fitting in case anything not quite right. good value for money.

GPS vehicle tracker
Excellent tracker, very configurable , have tried the main GPRS tracking and GSM locating functions these work perfectly very accurate and good signal strength. Paired with a 1p Mobile SIM it is very affordable too. This SIM can be set to top up automatically, £10 every 120 days for a fit-and-forget solution. I would be interested to find out even better deals but £30 a year is very affordable for this application.

Will no longer funtion in the UK
These cannot use a 3 or 4G sim card, the firmware is set to use 2g which is no longer avaiable, the supplier in China needs to update the firmware to accept 3 or 4G, then and only then can it be used here in the UK.
