Very please with this beautiful corset.
When receiving the Camellias 26 steel boned corset in the mail, I opened the box and the corset was in a bag. This bag was a very nice reusable storage bag. I thought that added a nice touch to the product. I tried the corset on and it fit very nicely.! I purchased the corest with designs on it and it was beautiful. I am 5'1 110lbs, and wear a size 5/ 27inch jeans and it fit me perfectly. This is my first corset I have owned so I was a little worried about purchasing it because I didn't know whether it was "Good Quality" or not. Needless to say it is very sturdy and stays tug when tied. It looks very nice and gives you that tiny waist that every girl wants. I am very happy about this product because it doesn't give an extremely curvy look but it makes you look very thin with a very fit/flat stomach. **It's very important that you take good care of your corset and SEASON it to ensure the life of the corset. If you don't SEASON your corset you risk hurting yourself and your new purchase. Please see videos on how to do so. This is especially important if you are wanting to waist train. Think of it like a new pair of shoes, you need to gradually and slowly break your new shoes in to fit you correctly. You cannot just jump into a new pair of shoes and expect them to fit perfectly and comfortably for 8 hours. This corset fits as expected. I did order smaller than what my waist size is. I did this because it has a laced back, and I knew that I wanted to slowly work toward making it smaller. I could do that if I ordered a size smaller but left a little extra room when lacing it, that way slowly over time I can tighten it more and more. I noticed a lot of people mentioned it digging into them in the lower waist area. I can honestly say that I did not have this problem. I wanted to mention again that I am 5'1 and 110 lbs. I am very short and still didn't have this problem. That being said, with how short I am, this corset did push my bra up a little. Some people said that liked that. I didn't like it too much, as it was a little uncomfortable but I expected that to happen. One important thing I wanted to mention is that if your body isn't used to corsets they can make you feel not hungry because of the pressure on your stomach. Some people may like this some may not. Side note-If this is your first corset and If you get heartburn easily please take something for heartburn before putting it on. Whether you start lightly with your corset or not it can and most likely will happen. Especially if you are not used to something hugging onto your chest and waist for hours out of the day. I have a few friends that cannot wear corsets due to heartburn alone. So please be advised this may happen. Some people also like to wear corsets when they sleep, I cannot comment on this as I have yet to try it, But I may consider it in the future. If this review was helpful please let me know :) If you have any questions feel free to ask.!

Excellent Corset. Especially for this Price...
Pros: Attractive Fits well Correct sizing, no confusion The front and side panels are steel boned as stated Good stitching Good lacing with almost no give Sturdy material with no give Cons: A bit short on my torso If there is any issue with the quality over time, I will edit this post FYI: I haven't had this corset long enough to season it yet This isn't my first corset I'm 5'9" AND 145 lbs. Tips and Observations -There seems to be a lot of confusion with some of the negative reviews concerning waist training, fit and durability. Waist training is something that is supposed to be accomplished over time. If the corset arrived frayed or damaged or this vendor shipped a size you did not order, the wrong item or product or delayed shipping your goods and did not tell you, I would understand those bad reviews. But I feel like a lot of the negative reviews are due to not following sizing instructions, not knowing how to care for your corset or just not reading the product description. Here are a few things I noticed: For sizing and fit; DO NOT GO TOO SMALL. If your natural waist is 32" but you want a 22" waist do not buy the 22" corset. It will not fit. Go with the suggested corset (28") and work your way down over time. I was going to buy a bigger size than the vendor suggested based on some of the complaints and this would have been a waste of my time (since I would have had to return my corset and order a new one in the right size). For boning (phrasing, I know) and lacing; This corset has steel boning. I don't know why people are saying it has plastic boning. That almost put me off of buying this corset. If you have any concerns, buy the corset and test it with a magnet. If there is any type of pull, it is steel. I used a refrigerator magnet and got a strong pull from my corset with side, front and back panels. Also, "ribbon" laces refers to any type of flat corset laces as opposed to round laces, not actual ribbon. Real ribbon would shred and tear in the process of waist training and is usually used for costume corsets. To avoid any confusion with this, look at the photos of the back and the lacing to get an idea of what it looks like. For comfort; Wear your corset for a few hours every day with minimum tightening for the first few days. This is a brand new corset, you have to mold it to your body. After a week or 2, you can wear it longer and begin to tighten it a little more. It should begin to contour to your figure at this point. Seasoning your corset in this way not only makes it more comfortable to wear for long hours, but also ensures its longevity. To Avoid Damage; Do not tie your corset too tight when you first get it. Tight lacing when your corset is unseasoned is not only dangerous to your health, but uncomfortable and damaging to the corset itself. You can break the corset hooks and closures. SYNOPSIS OF THIS LONG REVIEW: Go by the vendor's suggestion for sizing. If you don't like it, return it. If you are new to wearing a corset, look up tips on the internet or ask a friend that wears one before rushing in and leaving a bad review. An unnecessary bad review can keep people from trying a great corset.

Expectations exceeded!
I was pretty hopeful for this corset, not going to lie. After reading Jennifer Cusano's review, I figured this corset really had to be something special and I was not disappointed at all. It arrived timely and neatly packaged and I was excited to see that it was pre-laced with good quality cord (not RIBBON like some others!!). In fact, this corset was laced SO well, with so much EXTRA length, I was able to, for the first time in my life, tie it up myself. Previously, I'd always needed assistance from a friend to cinch it up. Not this one! And boy, does it fit divinely. I am 4'11 with a decently petite torso. My waist is about 39", hips 43", bust 43". I wear a street size 13. I ordered the 3X corset, hoping it would be the right size, and it absolutely is! The modesty panel is a good size at about 4-5 inches wide and I can currently cinch to have about 3 inches of modesty panel visible. As times goes on and I condition it to my body and my body to it, I expect to go down another inch or two. I'm currently wearing the corset at a comfortable level, that feels like a nice hug, and I can still take a deep breath and fill my lungs. I can eat comfortably, sit comfortably in a chair or on the floor... I even wore it while I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher one night. The longest I've worn this so far, was for about 5 hours. I even DROVE MY CAR while wearing it! I had to adjust the seat a bit, but mobility wasn't a problem at all. And again, this was at what I felt was a "moderate" tightness that felt like a hug. As time goes on, as stated above, I expect to cinch a little tighter, slowly but surely. The primary reason for my purchasing this was for ren faire costuming, and I've worn this corset under my clothes against my skin, and over my street clothes to "break it in" ("seasoning" I think is the term corset pros use) and it fits great either way. Some ren faire specific corsets go for upwards of $80, into the $100s, and I just couldn't justify that much money for a costume accessory. However, this corset is so much more than "costume" quality. The steel boning is very strong and sturdy and the fabric (I bought the black brocade) is actually very soft and comfortable against the skin or over costume or street clothes. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again or in another color if needed for a future costume!

so I really have no point of comparison for this bad boy, but I got my corset on Thursday ...
This is my first time trying corsetry, so I really have no point of comparison for this bad boy, but I got my corset on Thursday and I've been wearing it for five days now, and I love it. I initially ordered the black satin size small and there was an address problem; my tracking information told me it was "undeliverable". So I ordered another one, but they ended up correcting the address and delivering the first one as well as the second, and now that I've tried it I don't think I'm gonna return my extra one, cause it's so awesome that I don't mind having a spare at all. (But I might try to exchange it for a smaller size or different style. We'll see.) I had some discomfort with the corset pressing against my hips and ribs, but after reading about it I learned that you're supposed to wear a cotton shirt underneath the corset, so I've been trying that for the past two days and the discomfort is almost completely gone. I'm not sure, however, if the fact that it sits against my hips means I need a size bigger or smaller, and I'd like to find that out before I exchange my spare one. I just recently acquired a job as a receptionist in a hospital, and this corset helps so very much because I'm sitting behind a desk eight hours a day, and so slouching becomes very easy. Also, junk food is so accessible and prominent in the hospital; co-workers are constantly walking through like "who wants popcorn", and you eat more just because it's there and it's good or you're bored or it's fun. So I can finally understand why the nurse physique is what it is, and I forsee that I would overeat on this job due to that fact. When I bought the corset and started wearing it under my clothes to work, it helped tremendously. The corset enforces a good posture, which, by the way, triggers happy chemicals in your brain and helps you focus, have energy, be alert, and appear more confident and capable. It also helps you not overeat because you realize sooner when you're full--because it forces you to listen to your stomach as opposed to your tastebuds. And another thing, with this corset I haven't been getting as hungry. Besides the fact that it's gorgeous and sexy and I can't wait to incorporate it into my outfits instead of underneath them. I'm hoping to see my waist and hips trim down with this corset as well. Also, it helps with anxiety because it feels like you're in a constant hug. The corset is very sturdy, well made, comfortable and pretty. I had a little trouble figuring out how to get in and out of it at first but I think I've defined my system: when putting it on, hook first, then lace. When getting it off, unlace first, then unhook. I haven't tried corsets before now, so like I said I don't really have anything to compare it too, but so far I love it and especially after reading all the reviews, I really think I've found a treasure. I hope they don't shoot the price up for this product or discontinue it anytime soon. I may leave another review after a couple weeks when I can report more progress!

Not good for long torso and curves
This corset is pretty short, it's definitely not for you if you have a long torso. When I pull it down to my natural waist I have about 3 inches to go until it would hit my boobs, creating an extra pair. It's not a good look. Im not overly curvy, I'm proportional. My Measurements are 40 x 30 x 41. I ordered a 26, and it fit. However, this corset pinches my ribcage something fierce, but whats worse is it pinches my hips very uncomfortably. A waist trainer is supposed to only cinch you in at the waist, not anywhere else. Also, the busk pushes down on my belly fat, creating a bulge that isn't covered by the fabric. The laces slip easily in and out of the grommets, which makes it hard to adjust because you're always having to maintain tension on the laces. Those are the bad things. The good thing is: if you're of moderate to short torso length, and have a small waist to bust/hip ratio, then this corset should be just right for you. I can say it is of very fine quality, it weighs 2 pounds for crying out loud. Its made of steel bones without a doubt. It provides very firm torso support (not very comfortable). I have large bones and muscular abs, and all I can ask for is a two inch reduction with a waist trainer. I got it pretty easily with this, after the first several days of breaking in. The seams are all very strong and the fabric is more than adequately reinforced. The top layer or two is satin, the inside is cotton twill. I've worn it to sleep, its not so bad when I'm laying down. It isn't even completely obvious under my figure skimming (not skin tight) t-shirts. It doesn't create a dramatic hourglass figure, but does accent your curves. It could even create curves if you lack a waist, it is certainly strong enough. All in all, I recommend trying it on, at least. It just didn't work so well for me, but I'm sure it would work really well for a lot of other people. Its just one of those things.

My GO-TO waist trainer
After thorough research, I decided that this would be the waist trainer I would be purchasing. Little did I know that it would be the best waist trainer I would ever use. The sizing was a bit off at first because I never carefully measured my waist or any part of my body for that matter. Best advice is to measure every part or your waist and get your size because if you get a smaller size, it may be too tight. It is better to get there gradually and purchase a second one after your first has become to large for you. However, the price for most is a bit of draw back, but fear not because the price is totally worth it! I wore mine every day for three months and saw amazing results that no other waist trainer had done for me. There were no instant results because like I said, it does take it's time to get to where you want to be. The Corset itself is very comfortable and the lacing is perfectly adjustable. I feel like the clips have improved since my second one was a lot easier to close up. The material is also incredible! I have no flaws on it after almost five months and that is honestly very hard to come by with waist trainers. What really helps are the steel bones because those sure help with my posture and make me feel a lot better than most waist trainers I have tried. Honestly, I'd rathe spend the $40 on a good waist trainer that looks great, as opposed to one that I pay $15 for and becomes rather dull and damaged from only a few days of use. Definitely worth the price so don't be scared about it! Besides, their return policy is amazing so if you don't get the right size, order another and they are super fine with it!

5'1.5" 130-135lbs waist sizeM waist 32-36" :) ... bought LARGE (see details)
What size to buy was the most difficult. Maybe TMI but it might be helpful to others. To give you perspective in making your decision, I am 5'1.5" 130-135lbs waist sizeM waist 32-36" ... NOTE that my waist has a huge range - the difference is when I stand up straight, I actually lose 4" immediately!!! Morning weight is 130-132lbs. I usually wear a medium. I bought a LARGE...I'm exchanging this for a MEDIUM. The product sizing chart is confusing but here's what I discovered in my research: MY MUSTS: -cheap (because I'm new to this and I want to practice to help with posture and my little bubbly body) -metal bars/bones -metal busks (like hook & eye) -peak on the front under bust (I like everything tucked in) -strong enough to flatten the jelly bellies and helps with better posture COMPARISONS - see some products below I tested: -$40 vs $10 vs $30 for brown one -heavier than others Camellias is 1.2lbs... $10 is (0.40lbs)... Brown was 1lb... -Steel boning all throughout... for this and brown... $10corset only 2 metal bars by busks, the rest of the boning is plastic (thus lighter) -When worn and tightened (1st wear) this and brown left 1.5" in back while $10 left a 2.5" gap in the back -no instructions but I imagine it's Washable because it's polyester, not silk (like expensive ones)... $10 states that it's washable -one layer or material (cotton-y on inside, silk-y on the top)... "real" corsets are usually double layer, but hey, gotta pay for that too -lace of this and brown are made of shoelace material - $!0 is made of ribbon-like material. -Lace of this and $!0 is 1piece, tied traditionally with a loop in the middle... Brown has 2 separate laces (1 on top, 1 on bottom) CONCLUSIONS -unlike girdles - even this $10 on keeps jelly bellies firm and flat.. and corsets don't roll down... plus forces a better POSTURE -exchanging this and Brown for a MEDIUM. I am confident that I will lose more inches in the waist and also lose weight just from not slouching (yes, it works for me - i tend to be more aware of what I'm eating when I sit up straight) -keeping the $10 (large) only because it's plastic boning and with a 2.5" gap on 1st use, that gap I imagine would close up on 2nd and 3rd and... use but with plastic boning, I don't know if the plastic can handle all that "stress" if I get a medium. I'll just buy another one when this fails later (for $10, why not) -Corsets are ok to have a gap in the middle until your waist is trained to get smaller and ideally the "end goal" is to have gaps close... Gotta "season" corsets and we're supposed to "ease" into the tightness. I will exchange the Brown and Camelia though because I feel they are sturdy enough to "cinch" me in after some period -i like the 2 laces just because the traditional 1-lace gets confusing to me when untying it... maybe i'll replace with 2 shoe laces -i like that the $10 is light, not sure if this will actually cinch me eventually...i like the steel boned corsets to cinch me.. it's not bulky at all Alivila.Y Fashion Sexy Vintage Underbust Corset Bustier 2868A With G-String-Black-L/Bust:34-36inch Waist:28-30inch Sold by: Alivila.Y Fashion Camellias 26 Double Steel Boned Waist Trainer Corset Heavy Duty Waist Training Shaper Waist Slimmer for Weight Loss Black, SZ1908-Black-L Sold by: ShaperX LLC (US Seller) Brown Underbust Corset Top Lingerie Steampunk Waist Training Cincher Size L Sold by: Lover-Beauty
