Outstanding Unit
Great addition to my pond prowler 8. Matched with a lithium battery and this unit purrs. Solid build, relatively lightweight, great hardware. Very easy to use and make adjustments on the water. Glad I made this purchase...item was well packaged and arrived two days early!! A+++++

Good Trolling Motor with a couple small annoyances
Overall, I really like this trolling motor. The things that I am calling "issues", are really not that big of a deal, but are things that I have noticed and I felt they are worth mentioning. The main "issue" is that for my purposes, this motor honestly moves a little too fast on the lowest setting, and there is very little difference between the 1 (lowest) and 5 (fastest) setting. Trolling down bayous, even the lowest setting had my 14 foot Jon Boat going 2-3 MPH. On the fastest setting, it does roughly 4 MPH on the same boat. I think I am probably being a little too picky, but I wish the slowest setting did like 1 MPH and crept up from there with the speed settings. I can't tell the longevity, but overall, I would buy this motor again. I purchased the 24v 86LB thrust one.

Great for the price
I bought the 86lbs thrust model and although it’s pretty heavy, it’s worth the money. Be sure to know it takes a 24v battery to power. I was able to find an affordable 24v on Walmart.com. Has good speed.

Not for use in water!!
The first time it went in the water it seized immediately because the O rings failed and the motor flooded.DO NOT BUY unless you need an inefficient fan because its not even water resistant!
