great read!
Love this book. I was thoroughly entertained, especially as time travel books are my favourite. I haven’t read anything quite like this before. Recommended.

Enjoyable!
I would have given this 5 stars if not for two irritations: I dislike it when an author sneaks their own political viewpoint into a fictional book. And my second slight irritation came late in the book. The author did a good job of staying true to historical facts - until facts about Covid came into play. The one percent fatality rate was a very early estimate, and by early 2022 this estimation has long been revised down to 0.125% fatality rate. So it was disappointing that the author - after sticking to facts throughout - suddenly plumped for dramatic effect over reality. But having said all that, I enjoyed the story and the writing, so 4 stars.

An intriguing tale by a master raconteur and wordsmith. Cummins has done it again. Another winner
From the blurb on the back cover, to the selection of pages on preview, you are immediately drawn into the deceptively simple tale. If you want a novel that’s hard to put down, the you are in for a real treat with this one! Watch out for the cleverly choreographed ‘what ifs’. A thoroughly enjoyable, thought provoking and entertaining read. I want to give this six stars!

A slow start but the ongoing plots and subplots reveal a good read.

An intelligent and relatively sensible approach to time travel
In my opinion a very entertaining book with interesting ideas.

Another enjoyable book from Ian
I have read many time travel novels, but this was a new way of thinking about the idea. My only criticism is that the chapters are long, which caused problems with my habit of telling myself, 'I'll just read one chapter before I do some work.'

Couldn't put it down
I really enjoy Ian's style of writing, the characters, location and story line are so well laid out that it all feels realistic. I feel I know the characters. I love a bit of sci-fi so time travel is right up my street, but I haven't encountered a book that approached it from this angle or facing these dilemmas before. I found it new and refreshing, and couldn't help but wonder what I would do if I found myself in Graham's position! Keep it up Ian, can't wait for the next book!

Well written but BLAND
The premise was interesting, but the writing was like reading a text book. I must do this to achieve this result. Too many instances of the same cause and effect scenarios. I feel 3 stars is generous. Bland novel.

Stop, read, and then give it a 'think'
I don't write many reviews, but I read loads and loads of books. Mr. Cummins book is worth reading and it is worth a worthy comment or two. This is an interesting book that shares what it might to re-live one's life, in a different way. The story moves along and the development of characters keeps our interest, as we learn how the time traveling star of the story decides to live his life, for the second time.Other than books published by the Baha'is and a few philosophy books, which sometimes make me pause and reflect, I usually read the book straight through. But Mr. Cummins book caused me to stop, put a book mark in the book, and then just think and reflect a little bit.Are we making decisions about our lives or are we just reacting, that day, to what appears to be haphazard circumstances? Do we think about the impact we are having on others and do we question the conventional wisdom of what should be our priorities?Perhaps Mr. Cummins was just spinning a good yarn, but there is nothing wrong with being entertained, while also thinking about how we could think about how to live our own lives a bit better.

An interesting version of time travel.
An interesting if not very exciting version of time travel. Too much sex to be offered to children. Two more words to satisfy amazon.

What an enjoyable book!!
I truly didn't know what to expect from the synopsis but what a fun book. I enjoyed every bit of it to the point that my husband got annoyed at me reading at 12 at night keeping him up with my kindle.I just wish the author had a more informed and realistic view of Trump and the Scam- demic but hey, he seems like an intelligent guy, hopefully he will get it eventually.

Enjoyed it
This was a good story and was well written. It may have been a little slower paced than what I normally read, but that was ok. The characters' acceptance of the unimaginable situation in which they find themselves strained believability, but all in all, it was a good read.
