Easy to set up and it sounds good
My car didn’t have a working stereo but did have a factory premium audio which came with an amp. Instead of installing a stereo I decided to keep it simple and just do a stereo delete and use my phone connected directly to the amp with an RCA harness adapter. The setup was working fine but I use an iPhone so I’m limited to only in app EQ on only on two apps. This device is pretty much a physical EQ with knobs to adjust frequency bands.Installation was very easy because I just opened up the single din I had used for the stereo delete and mounted the EQ on it. I borrowed the power, ground and remote from the RCA harness adapter I already had installed. I’m still using my phone but I just connected the RCAs to the EQ then output to the amp.The sound definitely cleaned up compared to the apple dongle I was using, im not sure if the better sound is from a built in DAC or just because of the custom EQ but it sounds much better. The only downside for me was that I also had a Bluetooth dongle that gets power from a cigarette lighter that I was starting to use but the EQ amplified the noise in the power from that source.Overall the EQ seems to work pretty well, it has a separate sub input/output and the frequency bands are set to useable values. I’m not sure I would get this type of EQ if I already had an aftermarket stereo with a sophisticated built in EQ like on most mid tier pioneer stereos but for my setup it’s perfect.

Significant improvement in sound quality, but...
I have a 2017 GMC Sierra with the stock head unit, NAV-TV interface, JL Audio 5-channel amp, custom sub box with a 10" Infinity sub, Infinity Kappa in all the doors, and Infinity Kappa tweeters in the dash. I'm not running and DSP. All tone controls (bass, midrange, highs) are run from the head unit. Suffice it to say that I spent a lot of money on my components, but I was in sore need of an equalizer or DSP. This equalizer is very inexpensive compared to the rest of the components, but I decided to give it a try. Install was very easy since my system is already set up and ready for an equalizer or DSP. It took me all of 15 minutes. The improvement in tone/sound was significant. I was extremely pleased with how much better the music sounded. However, there are some issues that made me take it out. 1) There is some kind of high-pitched feedback noise coming through the speakers that wasn't there before. This is with the engine off. I tried several things, including installing a ground loop isolator, but was not able to remedy the issue. 2) One or more of the band settings affects the volume of the door chimes, turn signal, etc. When I turn everything to max, the chimes are ear-piercingly loud. The volume is more reasonable when I turn the settings down.My final thoughts - I believe my NAV-TV interface and this equalizer do not work well with each other. I am fairly certain this equalizer would work well if I had a regular analog head unit. The reason I have kept the head unit stock is because there are a number of vehicle functions that are controlled via the head unit. I have not yet found a head unit that is capable of retaining these functions.

Awesome
If you have a system where you can't turn it very loud or it doesn't seem like it gets loud enough is equalizer is perfect. It's designed so that you turn your stereo up to the point right before it sounds distorted, and then you don't change your head unit volume anymore from there on you adjust this equalizer's volume from that point on and with that it allows your music to go louder without distorting it to the stereo's limitations. Wiring it is rather simple there's a very good set of instructions and explain everything clearly as long as you have installed stuff like this in the past and are familiar with car audio. If you're not really familiar with car audio this is going to be a daunting task for you just saying. But otherwise this is super cool I've always wanted a graphic equalizer in this one does all of that and some
