Puro Sound Labs BT5200 Studio Grade Bluetooth Wireless Headphones - The Healthy Ears Headphone (Black)

Took me ages to decide which headphones to get. I recently purchased the iPhone 7 and wanted a bluetooth set to go with it. I'm very please I chose Puro. Sound quality is amazing. I can move freely all around the house without my phone and even put the rubbish out. They're comfortable and stay put. I'm more than happy to where them out and about as they look stylish and feel lightweight. Battery life is super.. I've used for countless hours this past week and they're still going. They're expensive but very good quality and well worth it if love music.

These are nice sounding headphones, but:* The claim of blocking out 82% of background noise is dubious, since I can still hear everything around me with them on the same as any other regular pair of headphones. I can even hear conversations going on.* There is some wind noise with them on.* There is random "clipping" as you listen to music, which I assume is due to Bluetooth. It only happens about once every 10 mins so far, but it is annoying. I don't get these in my car when I listen to Spotify via Bluetooth from my phone, so it must be the headphones.* When you stop a song or first start it there is a "click" noise similar to when you plug in or unplug headphones.* There is some bit of paper stuck under the power switch on my pair, which is a bit disappointing considering I paid £99 for these. I'll have to get a pin or something to get it out...I only made one test call with them and apparently I was audible, but not as clear as straight to the phone, which is understandable since the mic is far away from the wearer's mouth.I think they are nice looking and have some good sound, but I think the sound isolation and signal quality lets it down.Edit: After 9 months the headband snapped as I was putting them over my head. They were actually OK to use during that time and I got used to the random clipping, but it was annoying having to re-pair them with my phone every day (I had to turn bluetooth off and on again my phone in order for it to work properly).

Beautifull, compact and very good sound, especially with bass booster equalizer+ app!Long battery life.

I purchased these along with their 88db limiter cable (https://purosound.com/products/puro-limiter-3-5-mm-auxiliary-audio-cable)The limiter cable is supposed to limit all sound to 88db and therefore protect your ears against any loud bangs etc. However, after a very loud bang in my ear from cymbal like sound when listening to classical music I discovered that the cable does not instanly limit the sounds to 88db the time the circuitry takes to cut down the loud sound from above 88db to lower than 88db is very slow and therefore loud peaks, like a cymbal crashing are not limited at all - in fact because you are lurred into thinking these headphones will protect your hearing they actually become more dangerous to your hearing. I now have tinittus from a session of listening to music on these headphones - it was only in retrospect I found out the problem with these headphones. This effects not only my job but also my every day life - I have been in tears since having discovered that these headphones along with the limiter cable (perhaps mine was faulty) have actually damaged my life.

Amazing headphones. They are very comfortable on the ear, fit my head perfectly and the Bluetooth works very well. I love that you can use the cable when it runs out of battery as well. Full control of music from headphone and does what is says. Noise cancelling and great sound.

I've given these headphones just 3 stars because they seem quite well made and, as simple headphones, perform well. However, as Bluetooth headphones, I have found them unacceptably poor. They worked reasonably well for three months although there was always a slight drop in sound level between broadcast speech passages, via a Bluetooth device connected to my TV, as though each speaker had made a barely perceptible sigh, slightly irritating until I became accustomed to it (possibly what another reviewer called "clipping"?). I put it down to Bluetooth and the transmitter/receiver device used. Eventually though, the headphones cut out while listening to radio via my laptop. With some difficulty, I managed to get the headphones to re-pair and reconnect with the laptop (it was not due to a broadcast cut out, as the sound continued through the laptop speakers). After this the headphones would no longer connect to the TV via the usual method despite endless attempts to re-pair with the Bluetooth device. But - I found the fix (provided it's an iPlayer, etc, broadcast via the laptop) ! I turned off the headphones, switched the Bluetooth device to receive and plugged it into the headphones' jack socket; and Hey Presto! - no more dying sighs between speech passages or cut outs from the laptop). I'd send them back but, frankly can't be bothered as they work ok, better even, with an external Bluetooth device attached.

Be careful they scratch easily

High quality build, great sound reproduction, lots of little features make this a great buy. These cans feel solid, with quality materials throughout. If you have an AptX compatible bluetooth device they'll give you a little bump in audio quality, but they also come with 3.5mm line in for when you need perfect reproduction. Bonus- the line in works with the power OFF, save your battery! I use them on bluetooth during subway commutes, then plug in when I get to the office. I don't usually use headphones for phone calls, but the built in mic seems to work fine if you need it for that as well. Oh and a great case too, it's big but has lots of extra room, I store all my charging cables in there now. All around pleased with this purchase.

I was hopeful that the pressure noted by other reviewers wouldn't be a problem. I don't have a large or round head, so I thought it worth a chance.The build quality and materials are indeed nice. Not garish-looking or flimsy like some, although I'd prefer a smaller logo on the side. The buttons and switch on the left side are nicely sized and don't click or pop into your ear with loudly. The pairing process is always very quick.The things I thought could use some work, aside from the vice-grip feeling on my ears, revolve around user feedback. Some reviewers noted the audio safety LED that you can't see while wearing them. Good point, and maybe there should be an optional auto-limiter function that decreases volume for the user. The pairing process uses beeps to respond. It doesn't have a way to indicate which device it just paired with. Speaking of the battery levels, there wasn't a way for the user to know the battery level until it died (and there may have been an LED to indicate, but my memory is foggy.) I would have appreciated at least having the battery level appear next to the Bluetooth icon on my phone like some devices can do.The only functional quirk that I noticed was when using the + button to advance a track, the headphones would also increase volume one step. Over time, they just got louder and louder. The headphones have their own volume control to some extent, which was confusing. It would have been better to have them control the device output level rather than their own playback level. "Do I adjust the volume of my phone, the volume in the music app, or the volume on the headphones?"The sound quality was decent. I do now know what studio quality headphones sound like, and this helps me realize how I like to tune mine in relation to that. More treble and more bass. The headphones handled this fairly well.Unfortunately I returned them due to the feeling of sore ears that they caused. I have since bought a different product with an over-the-ear style that I find much, much more comfortable, even if less sexy. Puro appears to make an over-the-ear style, but it barely shows any feedback from buyers on their site. The product page also contradicted itself about whether the headphones are over- or on-ear style. So, I moved on.These are definitely worth a try. If you don't like them, return shipping isn't very expensive.

While not an audiophile or expert, these earphones perform extremely well. The sound is full, rich, and well-balanced. Bluetooth connectivity is excellent. I have easily and quickly connected to my Apple products as well as my Kindle, smoothly switching between the 2 on a number of occasions. They charge quickly and seem to maintain their charge as advertised. The lightweight protective carrying case is a definite plus as well. As they are not noise cancelling, one can hear some ambient noise, but this has not been a problem while using them, even while exercising in the gym. I highly recommend these earphones as an excellent alternative to the much higher priced competitors.

Purchased this hoping to use it in the wireless mode with the Peloton bike. Could not get it to pair with the Bluetooth function of the bike, perhaps because of the codec used. Can only use it connected with a cable.

While the sound on these was good, they were too small for my head. I wear a 7 5/8ths hat and these headphones painfully pinched my ears against my head. After wearing the headphones for more than a few minutes, my ears were literally stuck to the sides of my head.Also, the advertised sound level protection is implemented as a small LED on one of the ear pieces. You can't actually see the color of this unless you take the headphones off while the music is playing.I returned mine for a full refund as they were too small to wear comfortably.
