It works.
So pleased with this product that I came back and purchased more. The grass is much healthier. Just follow the instructions.

Good, but short lived.
My lawn loves this stuff, I rather like it too, for different reasons obviously. But it does need to be used regularly to retain the nice healthy green look, I find. Or maybe I just have a greedy lawn addicted to the 'stimulant' in the feed. Anyway, the effects are noticeable very quickly and as I have quite a small area of lawn, it lasts for 2 feedings.

Have patience
This grass seed takes time to germinate, but is well worth the wait.Tip: protect the seed from thieving birds!! I used a good quality fleece that allows water, light and air through.

The Green Green Grass of Home
This is an excellent product that, once established, produces lovely rich green grass to make a lawn anyone would be proud of. I had previously used Empathy Supreme Green Lawn Seed when I created a fresh lawn at my previous property. Within just a few months I had a lawn that was the envy of the neighbours (and of course I didn't let on that this was the 'secret' product I'd used). Anyway, the lawns around the house we've recently moved into had bare patches - so it was a no-brainer really when it came to choosing this product again to repair my lawn, with a view to bringing it back to life. And, just like before, I'm very pleased with the end results. Not surprisingly, this product is endorsed by The Royal Horticultural Society, and is also a brand proudly stocked by Waitrose. Coincidentally, if you go on YouTube you can find an excellent Waitrose instructional video presented by Alan Tidmarsh (entitled: How To Make a Lawn Using Seed). The man himself uses this very product, whilst demonstrating how to prepare the soil, and telling you all you need to know about making a new lawn, including how to repair an existing one. As Mr T mentions, you will naturally lose a few of your seeds during the germination process, but as the old country saying goes 'one for the rook, one for the crow, one to die, and one to grow.' I know that some people get poor results when it comes to putting down seeds. From my experience, it's all about the preparation: loosen up the soil, remove any stones, sensibly distribute the seeds on the surface, and then lightly 'till' the earth so the seeds are worked into the soil surface. DO NOT cover the seeds with soil and, unless there's a particular dry spell, there's usually no need to water - because Mother Nature will do the rest (early morning dew, rain and sunshine). If you've ever seen road workers filling in ditches on the side of the road, they just level off the soil and sprinkle a few handfuls of grass seed down to complete the job. Nine times out of ten, grass will appear over the coming weeks - and there's been no need for a bloke in a high visibility jacket to visit daily with a watering can - in other words, no human intervention is required. Just be patient - it may take three weeks before you see those magical green shoots!I'm impressed with this product and have no hesitation in recommending it to you. Many thanks for reading my review & happy gardening.😊🌻🌾🌷

Has had some success where other seed mixtures have failed.
Keeping my back lawn looking reasonable with a decent covering of grass has proven to be no easy matter. There are a number of factors that I need to contend with:* Sandy, very free-draining soil.* Lots of shade due to 2 beech trees, 2 rowan trees, 1 fir tree and 1 apple tree surrounding the lawn.* A springer spaniel bitch.I have resigned myself to the fact that the lawn is never going top look perfect ... and nor do I need it to, but I do want it to look as decent as it reasonably can.I have tried various seed mixtures from a number of companies over the years, but the results have always been near total failure. So, I decided to try this mixture from Plantworks Ltd. and finally there has been a degree of success. It hasn't resulted in a lawn that looks like the centre court at Wimbledon and there are some patches that still haven't taken particularly well - but this has at least shown a degree of success, under challenging conditions, that other mixtures have failed to achieve.I hope you find these insights helpful.

It makes the lawn greener.
Does the job in a couple of days makes the lawn visibly greener than Shreks ear wax.

Superb seed which germinated in under five days!
I bought this seed to cover up some bare patches on my lawns and it’s superb. I mixed it in with some top soil and sprinkled over the bare patches (after cleaning up the patch removing dead grass, roots etc) and then sprinkled a mix of the seed and top soil and firmly tapped it down. Then watered the whole lawn thoroughly and repeated the watering every other day. Within five days there were strong signs of germination as shown in the photo which was taken on day five. The seeds were planted in July 2021 when there was a mix of warm and rainy weather. I was told by the national lawn company who look after my lawns that they don’t seed this time of year so I took it upon myself to do the job because they wouldn’t and I’m delighted I did. Highly recommended.
