Works well - but give it a stir
I bought this to coat a flat felted roof. I made the mistake of not stirring it first and so initially it went on really easily - because there weren't many fibres in it. Once I had used a bit and got down to the fibrous sealant it was much thicker and took more effort to apply. I just chucked the brush away afterwards, I don't think it would be worth trying to clean it. It does suggest on the tin to give it a light stir before use - but not too much otherwise it will start clumping. I took a look at the roof about a month after applying it and it still looks really good.

Great Roof Protection: Highly Recommended!
I used the Cromar Grey Cromapol Roof Sealant last year. It did an excellent job waterproofing my felt roof and sealing up leaks. The application was straightforward, and it dried to a tough finish. I definitely recommend Cromapol for anyone looking to protect their roof!

Great Product
Brilliant product that can be applied on damp surfaces. It does the job extremely well but i've not been able to get it to last longer than 12 months before a recoat is required. However this is not a problem in the grand scheme of things

Great product
Used this a couple of years ago on my corrugated garage roof and it worked perfectly.Unfortunately I have had another leak on a different part of the roof. Used this product and it’s worked again. I would recommend this as I have tried other products but none have been as good as this.It is expensive but if it works it’s cheaper than having to replace the whole garage roof.

Nice solid finish and no fumes when applying it
I bought a tin of this nearly a year ago, but it's taken this long to find the right weather window to apply it, but it's now up there on a flat roof over a box window (2 x 1.5 m) where the roofing felts had been disintegrating badly in places. I filled the holes last year with another product, and now by coating the whole thing with this sealant it should protect the roofing felts from further degradation (they're 60 years old but with 90% of the surface still in very good condition) and it should keep the roof leak free for a long time to come. People talk about adding a new layer every five years, but I reckon this will last decades, in combination with the roofing felts underneath.I expected bad fumes, but no - it was pleasant to work with and easy to apply. I used a metal ladle to get lumps of it out of the tin and onto the roof, and that worked well, sparing the disposable brush unnecessary damage. Also, by dropping those lumps of fibrous gloop here and there over a quarter of the roof for the first quarter of the tin, I was able to work out how thickly I needed to apply it to get an even coating. I had had the option of putting it on thick or trying to stretch it to do two of these flat roof areas (two box windows, one on the west side of the house, and one in much better condition on the east side), but I decided to go thick and leave the other flat room for another time. That was the right decision: it would likely have been rather thin if I'd tried to make it do both, so instead it's a good thickness that provides better strength for a lasting repair. I was able to heap it up a bit at the edges of the roofing felts to protect those and ensure that water wouldn't seep in at the joins, and having checked it all 48 hours later, it's all gone solid in time for the next lot of heavy rain which should arrive in another 24 hours. It's a super result which means I won't be losing sleep in bad weather any more worrying about what's going on up there. The light grey colour also means that room hopefully won't get so unbearably hot in summer any more, which is why I chose this over an alternative type of product. I'll see how that works out next summer, but I'm now 95% sure that I should use this again next time instead of the other product that tempted me.
