As advertised. Dog just hates wearing it.
Works well for what's intended. However your dog will look like this the first 4 times you use it.

Great buy for shed control
Product works EXTREMELY well for its purpose. Fits great, stretch good, very lightweight for our “little” girl. The zipper and lightweight stretch material is a little cheap. Zipper gets stuck, only due to hair, which is the whole purpose of buying this, and the material is a little too thin and was punctured twice since we started using a few months ago for car rides. Yes we’re aware her nails are a little log, no judging. She despises getting them done! #cujoOVERALL, well worth the buy and highly recommend! The shed control in the car is really a lifesaver.

Fits perfect!
Package arrived in less than 24 hours. I was excited to find this item as I was looking for something other than the cone of shame to keep my pup from licking his neuter wound (🤣 neuter wound). The reviews were positive for both shedding and preventing the licking of surgical areas so I decided to give it a try. Dalmatians shed their tiny barbed fur hairs about a thousand per second so Dal glitter is EVERYWHERE and it's next to impossible to get off clothing, furniture, and car interiors. Let's hope this is the answer to our problems. The fit is excellent. I bought a size L for my 53lb boy and it fits well! Its a little loose in the crotch area but not too tight in the right places. He's so cute in it. I'm sure he hates me, though. 🤷♀️

Company wants customer satisfaction
My GSP is a horrible shedder so I bought the Shed Defender for 41-60 lbs which should be fine for my 53 pound dog. I let her outside and she ripped the shoulder three hours after getting the delivery. My review was based on my experience. Since my review, the company has offered to replace my Shed Defender because of the shoulder tear. The fabric is not indestructible in order to make it bearable and flexible for the animals. However, the company worked with me to improve my experience. The Shed Defender does work to contain dog hair and that is my primary reason for purchasing the item. If you have a larger dog, I recommend you purchase a larger size just in case.

pretty great
some people look at me funny when I take my dogs out in their matching cloud onesies but that's okay. the first week I put them on them backwards unaware of my mistake so I was confused on why it fit so funny and why their tails had a turtle neck. they like them overall.

Review for use in cats to prevent overgrooming
There aren't a lot of reviews of this product RE its use in cats so I thought I would leave my 2 cents. We got the Shed Defender on the suggestion of our vet to try to help our cat avoid overgrooming and creating hot spots. Our cat's preferred licking areas are her butt and the inside and outside of her rear legs, which means that the usual surgical recovery suits do not cover the correct areas. We have tried many other things (various surgical cones-- she is like Gumbi and can still somehow reach everything, antidepressants, steroids, antibiotics, an allergen-free diet, various ointments and creams, etc.-- any other suggestions please comment!!) prior to the suit. The cat in question is a medium-sized female cat, about 9 lbs or so. We first tried the size XXS (for 8-12 lbs), and while this fit, it was very snug-- to the point that she felt immobilized and did not want to move around with the suit on. So we sent that back and tried the size XS (12-18 lbs). The fit on this was better. It was still snug but not suffocatingly tight. The suit is made out of very stretchy lycra type-material. You can trim the legs if they are too long. The zipper will stay open to wherever you unzip it. However, even with the larger suit on she was still reluctant to make any kind of large movements-- stepping up or jumping onto or over things. Unfortunately this also included stepping up into the litterbox, so several pee accidents occurred. We experimented with unzipping the suit to varying degrees and even taking her back legs out of the suit... but she would either accidentally pee on it or it gave her enough access that she could still get at frequently-licked areas. The suit does wash well, btw. I both hand washed it and put it in the washing machine in a delicates bag and let it air dry. I think in order for this to work for our purposes we would basically have to be home all day and take her out of the suit several times a day for potty breaks. So my conclusion for use in cats is: 1) due to the peculiarities of feline anatomy, order a size up from your cat's actual weight, and 2) if your cat is neurotic enough to need this suit because of overgrooming then he or she will probably also be too neurotic to tolerate wearing it. If you think it might work, it's probably worth trying out, since returns are free and you will likely know right away if your cat will be willing to wear it. If nothing else, you will be amused by seeing your cat dressed up in skin-tight lycra like he or she is in an 80's aerobicize video. P.S. I am also baffled by why this suit is so shockingly expensive.

Works Great Once You Find the Right Fit
This suit so far is working great to keep my dog from licking at his hotspots. It's spandex type material, so it has some give to it. It seems sturdy enough, but we'll see how it holds up to beagle shenanigans. My issue was with the fit. I've had to order this twice now. I went by the sizing on this the first round, and it was so tight my guy couldn't even move. He is 21lbs and not an "oddly" proportioned dog, so a Small should have fit him. It pulled backward on his front legs to the point where he was stuck in place, or his front legs would pop out of the sleeves, and he'd be inchworming across the floor. Not good. So I ordered a Medium, and it's working out much better for him. The suit is also pretty loose in the crotch area between the back legs. It's not too much of an issue thus far, but it looks a bit weird. Overall I'd order again now that I know what size he actually wears.

Just ok
Hassle to get on and off a large dog. When you take it off the hair just go everywhere.

Great for preventing snowballs or fur and comfortable for dog to wear
I use this product to keep my dog’s fur clean and free of snowballs. It accomplishes this perfectly and best of all my dog does not mind wearing it at all. It’s very comfortable, snug, and easy to put on and take off. My dog can’t tolerate wearing a harness but wears this with ease.

Good quality
True to size except the sleeves were really tight for a thick paw.. as in the picture sleeves are suitable for a narrow paw
