Good value for price, simple
I like the different hole shapes, and works well to turn off my old gas meter in an emergency. The zip tie is silly for emergency use, so I'm just storing mine next to/atop my gas meter, and that works fine. Good value for the cost, without needing to leave one of my proper wrenches at the gas meter for emergencies.

Teach your family how to use this! Best investment in gas safety you can own.
I live in the shaky state, and earthquakes are not uncommon by any means. I've taught my family to evaluate the house after a strong quake, and to shut down the utlities if things are bad. By bad I mean gas leaking in the kitchen, or water coming from a broken pipe in the wall. I attached this with the included zip tie directly to the gas meter, so it's handy. The only problem I've had is neighbor kids breaking off the original from the side of my house some years ago. This one is pretty much like the first one, the single included zip tie is plastic, and can weaken and degrade quickly due to weathering. I replaced it with a couple of actual nylon zip ties, so it should last a lot longer, and be a bit tougher for young kids to remove. But if you have a lot of kids around, consider putting this somewhere higher where they can't get to it. I would not leave it IN your house, because after a quake you may not be able to get in and get it.If you get one of these, remember it's only part of gas safety. The other part is showing your family how to use it and checking to make sure it's still in place every so often.

Nice tool
Its always good to be able to shutoff your gas quickly. This wrench is long enough to be able to turn the valve without too much effort. The zip tie is not a good idea to use since the sun and weather will degrade it. Stainless chain would be better..

Exactly the right tool for the job
If we ever have a large earthquake, I will want to be able to turn off gas to my home in a hurry. I have this wrench zip tied to the pipe at my gas meter with the supplied removable zip tie. So no rummaging around for a wrench. It will be right where I need it when the time comes

Seems well made.
Have it hanging by our gas meter outdoors on the side of our house. Solid metal product. I'll update my review if it begins rusting.

Works For An Emergency
I purchased this to place at our gas meter. Living in Southern California, it's always good to be prepared for an earthquake, brush fire or other disaster. This is essentially a simple, flat piece of stamped steel. It will rust, and being universal in design, it may not engage precisely with your particular gas valve. For our gas valve, the smaller fitting was definitely a loose fit, but it will successfully turn the valve on and off. The black finish is rather cheap and makes visibility at night impossible, so I would recommend painting this thing safety yellow instead. Also, the little temporary zip tie included, to hold it to the meter, is pretty lame. It requires you to fumble with the little black plastic release tab to gain access to your wrench. In a pinch, this isn't going to work well. I would just use a simple steel chain from the hardware store.Despite the shortcomings, it does work. It's also a good idea to rotate that gas valve every so often to loosen it up, so it will close easily in an emergency.

Incorrect fitting
Doesn’t fit Ontario Canadian gas shut off valve.
