This is a lovely bedspread. It's heavy but lightweight if that makes sense? It's 100% cotton and looks beautiful.However, it is ENORMOUS! I bought a king size since that's what size bed we have and it hangs a good 2.5 feet past the bottom of the bed. I tried washing it in warm & putting it on full heat in the dryer but it didn't shrink much. Next time we'll try hot water. It's like the thick cotton blankets I remember from when I was a child. So pleased with this.I definitely will have to buy new pillows because the shams are huge too and just flop with the current king pillows we have.

This is a beautiful, extra large cotton bedspread. It drapes beautifully around all sides, even on a memory foam mattress with a topper. I like it because at night, the spread drapes over the sides of the bed, unlike comforters which just lay on the top. It is a medium weight, which works perfectly with a blanket for colder days and will be the perfect weight for summer with just the sheet under it. Some reviewers said it was not cotton but the bedspread I got says 100% cotton. I also like that it is not overly ornate, but has a simple basket weave. I like that it has an old-fashioned look and reminds me of the bedspreads in my mother and grandmother’s bedrooms. Love it! Also, it is a very good value.

I love this but........... It was huge! Touched the floor on all four sides of my king sized bed, so a little too big actually. I washed it hoping it would shrink. It did, but only from side to side, not top to bottom. And it does shed a lot of lint in the dryer, but knowing that in advance, I checked the dryer every 20 minutes to clean out the lint so it dried more quickly than it would have. My reason for four stars........ the hem has already started to come apart after one washing. Hoping to stitch it by hand before the whole thing comes undone. Love the weight, color, texture, etc.

Although I was a bit put off by some negative reviews, I ordered this anyway because of the color. This bedspread is awesome! Fits my oversized king bed perfectly. I ordered Utopia's 100% Premium woven Cotton blanket with this spread and the combo is perfect for summer. I am hoping it'll work well for winter, also. The color is stunning and works well with so many other colors. We have 2 small dogs who sleep with us and I haven't noticed any snagging. Washes and drys very nicely with no noticeable shrinkage as long as you know how to wash & dry 100% cotton items. It contines to get softer after each wash/dry time. Be careful hanging it out on a clothesline. It will get clothspin marks or line marks but they will go away after you make the bed, spritz lightly with linen spray (or something comparable), and smooth out. May take a day or two. My shipment came in on time and in great condition. I will be ordering 2 more for my spare rooms. I highly recommend this item!

While a beautiful bedspread, this sheds cotton lint everywhere! It’s brand new and I just washed it before using. With fine particles flying in the air and little balls of lint all over, I can see why this bedspread was on sale. What a mess.

Loved the look of it and the softness but , even though I followed all washing instructions, the spread shrunk so badly it no longer fit my king size bed and no longer covered the frame.

Very comfortable, keeps one warm without sweating incessantly because 100% cotton "breathes." If you think it is stiff or otherwise unpleasant out of the box, try a refreshing 5-minute spin in the air or low cycle of the dryer. Don't let all this upcoming advice on fabric care frighten you off buying these or any of the other gorgeous Superior 100% cotton products: they are reasonably priced for such nice natural fabrics, and you cannot beat 100% cotton for soft warmth and comfort. Just don't think of or treat your linens (or clothes!) like you would a cheap face cloth or kitchen towel - you'll do fine.About washing -hear this for all clothes and linens: detergents, hot water and dryer heat are enemies, not friends of fabrics. These 100% cotton things are prone to lint, and washing/drying in machines really will produce a lot of lint to the point of disaster in some cases. So for this item, (or any natural fiber bedspreads) if you do not want to dry clean (which uses chemicals to clean) - generally speaking, you can spot clean by blotting up spills with a towel, and even a bit of natural cleaner like Mrs. Meyers' s on the spill. You also you can run it through the dryer to freshen and remove dust without washing it first. Be aware that while this item can handle the dryer, certain other fabrics may be destroyed by dryer heat so check the fabric content label. Most big, heavy items will recommend to spot clean spills or soil as you find effective. Try to wash infrequently if at all, and if wash is necessary treat it as a very delicate fabric. Use the washer's gentle or delicate cycle, with cold water wash, and as little detergent to make only a light suds - if you can, add the soap after it is agitating, to get an idea of how much suds you are raising. Give it 2 or more gentle rinses in cold water, and add fabric softener to the final rinse. Let it air dry outdoors if possible; you can fold it in half and lay it across your lawn furniture or on a clean patio or balcony wall, for example. After air drying you can give it 5-10 minutes in the air dry cycle to remove excess lint once it is dry. If you must dry it in the dryer, run it through the low cycle a few times, each time taking it out to shake it free of its balled up self, to redistribute the weight. Repeat as often as required on low heat to get it dry, without over drying.

If you are truly looking for a bedspread, this is perfect. It covers the entire bed and has a perfect drop.

Es delgada , aún no la lavo, por lo que no sé cómo reaccione después de eso, pero se siente fresca y quedo demasiado olgada, loQue se me hizo bien , porque la puedo dejar por fuera o bien meterla debajo del colchón sin que se salga fácilmente

Pleasantly surprised! I have been in search of a coverlet that would cover my mattresses on both sides of the bed and this one fit the bill! The size is perfect for my king bed. My bed is 40" from the floor. I make it a touch longer on the side that's most visible but it still covers the mattress on the other side. It also allows me to cover the pillows which I was never able to do with the standard King size coverlets. Not only is this the perfect size, but the material is perfection. Not too thin and not too thick and so soft. Perfect for the summer. The pattern is simple and easy on the eyes. The price is really nothing to complain about. I have spent more on others that weren't worth it. This one even comes with two pillow shams. I'm not going to be using them, but at least I have them if the need ever arises. There is nothing to complain about with this product. Only thing we have to wait to see is how much it will shrink when it's washed. In the past, even though I have washed in cold water and hung to dry, cotton coverlets will always shrink. We shall see how much this will shrink - hope it doesn't!!
