easy to assemble and learn how to operate
Well-packed, easy to assemble and learn how to operate, simple to install, easy to adjust lamp and solar panel, worked perfectly right off the bat! When I reviewed this product on Amazon, I realized it was a big step above other solar lamps. The product has real solar panels that are adjustable to maximize solar charge to the 2200 mAh lithium battery. I also noted the 4-led lamp head is adjustable vertically which in my case, I needed to aim the light low to accent a walkway, The LED lamp has low and high brilliancy settings.I found the low setting was more than sufficient for my job, so the battery should not experience a full discharge overnight. A full discharge can destroy a lithium battery. The only thing I had to do to assemble the solar lamps was mount the solar panel with the thumb-screw. Then I tapped the provided peg into the ground where each lamp was to be located. I inserted the lamp on the peg but did not turn it on so the battery would be charged almost a full day. The next day, I turned the lamps on on by depressing the switch on the back of the solar panel. One click is low setting, 2 clicks is high setting and 3 clicks is off. I was concerned about a nearby pole lamp causing light interference but when I checked the lamps at nightfall, all 4 were lit up. Had there been an issue with the pole lamp. it may have been resolved by adjusting the solar panel. I ran across one issue in the instructions for Maintenance and Batter Replacement. Step 2 mentions the battery may need replaced if lamp fails to light up after being use around 8-12 months. My experience with lithium batteries found they last many years under proper use and charging. I also found that just one complete discharge will kill a lithium battery so that it cannot be recharged. In Specifications of the instructions, it is stated that the working time for the battery in low light stetting is 8-12 hours.I get the feeling that the 8-12 months statement really meant more than 8-12 hours in low light setting may cause a complete discharge and the battery would need to be replaced .In high light setting, the battery could be fully discharged in around 4-6 hours according to the instructions. Users need to pay attention to that. My sister took the other 4 lamps I ordered and said they are working perfectly after she installed them. 10/2/17 update These lights make excellent emergency lights when electric power is down! I went outside and pulled 2 lights off the peg and lit up the interior. They will light all nightlong on low setting.

Warm bright spot lighting with modest endurance
UPDATE #2: After 3+ months just sitting dead in the yard, one of the lights that quit working suddenly turned on one evening. It's been a few weeks and it continues to function properly again. The only significant update is that, now 17 months after purchase all of the lights shine more dimly and all of them begin to fade after just 3 hours of lighting up at dusk and within another hour of that, they are all dark. UPDATE #1: After one full year, half of the lights (2/4) have quit working. I had purchased another brand (Nymph) a couple of months after getting these and those newer ones are both brighter and stay lit significantly longer (for around the same money). Bummer. I like that these are each stand-alone solar/lights and not tethered to one another by a power-solar cord. Yes, that means each light/panel needs to get some sun but I prefer that I can place them anywhere and not all clustered near one another due to the tethering/charging cord. The low light setting is just lame but the high setting is striking… and that’s all I have them on. They come on automatically around dusk (8p in July) and last until 1am). They have also endured several short afternoon thunderstorms without a hitch - still lighting up in the evening. The Prime Day price of forty cannolis remains available a month later too. Installation was easy - simply drive the stake into the ground (I gently used a hammer) and then press on the solar/light module. We prefer the 3000k “warm” lighting but there are other mfg with “white” lighting and they last about 8-9 hours (basically all night). See my other reviews. One month later I had an issue and this manufacturer delivered excellent customer support!

Defective Product - lights dead in 3 months
This product is defective and does not work. I had bought 4 lights in Nov 2024 and all of them turned out to be bad. After about three months of purchase, one or two bulbs did not turn on in each light. Now in all the 4 lights, at least two bulbs have gone bad. The light is also of poor quality. I live in Florida and get 8-10 hours of sunlight. So, there cannot be any issue of not charging. Most unfortunate part is Customer Service. I tried to point to Manufacturer's warranty but they would not take any responsibility. Instead they would treat me like a cheat. I am copying below the language from the e-mail that I have received. It is very important that potential customers should know the harassment that they will have to go through. I will recommend not to waste your money in buying this product as you will be just throwing your money. I will also file a complaint with Amazon that this product was sold under false advertising. This product will not last for more than 3 months but was sold as it will last for 3 years. Please read the important contents of the e-mail that I had received from customer service to judge for yourself if you would like to go through this hassle. Exact quote from the e-mail: "Could you please follow these troubleshooting steps to try and fix the lights? If they still don't work properly, we will send you new lights to 8908 address. Please kindly provide us with the number of lights that are still not working and the CODE number on the back of the solar panel (the fifth line). 1. Choose a proper position. 1) Avoid installation locations with any obstructions that may shade or block the sun's rays during the day. The location needs to be away from light obstructions such as buildings, trees, fences, bushes, or the shadows that these create. 2) Ensure that they are installed away from other light sources. If the solar lights are located near other light sources, the sensor may be triggered incorrectly, thinking that it is still daytime and preventing the lights from turning on. 3) DO NOT leave the solar panel close to the light bulbs on the same light; pull it a bit away. 2. Check for the switch button. Make sure the light is turned on: Take it into a dark room or cover the solar panel completely to test. Press the ON/OFF button a few times: (1) One press for weak light mode. (2) Another press for strong light mode. (3) A third press will turn off the light. 3. Clean the solar panel. (1) Clean the solar panel with a damp towel. DO NOT use any type of solvent for cleaning and be careful not to put too much pressure on the module while cleaning. (2) Wait for a sunny day and place the light in an unobstructed spot where it can receive direct sunlight for about 48 hours. 4. Reset and activation. (This step has successfully fixed the issue for many customers.) The batteries in the lights may become depleted, and the control IC may become inactive. (1) Take out the battery for about 30 minutes and reposition it to ensure that the battery is securely in place; screw the solar panel back on tightly. (There are four screws on the solar panel and they can be unscrewed to open it up.) (2) Shine a flashlight briefly on the solar panels so that they can receive the signal they need to start working again. In this step, please kindly also take a photo of the battery and wiring inside. This will help us identify where the issue might be. Thank you so much!" Even before the e-mail, I had tried everything to make the lights work. But to no consequence.

Lovely light but short lifespan
These are very bright and did a great job lighting up our dark porch stairway. They cast a lovely warm light. However, one stopped working entirely about a year after purchase, and there is a film layer peeling off the solar panel portion of the other, so I think it won’t last long either.
