Had some misgivings about this initially due to lack of odor/taste. Usually mastic gum has a pine scent/flavor, but this is pretty odorless and flavorless. So I'm pleased to find that it's working. I've had some serious gut issues, likely stemming H Pylori or something of the kind. Ulcers have also been a problem: I'm a recovering alcoholic, and I finally stopped drinking after ending up in the hospital due to massive internal hemorrhaging. Scared me enough to get sober and stay that way. I've also had problems with anxiety and depression for most of my life, which is why I started drinking in the first place. For a long time, anxiety would cause a burning nausea in my gut that made me induce vomiting to find some relief. Since I stopped drinking and became properly medicated, the anxiety-vomiting has largely vanished, but lately I've been experiencing similar bouts of nausea, independent of any anxiety spike. These were beginning to occur with increasing and alarming frequency. The last couple of times I was on antibiotics they destroyed me, so I was looking for a natural remedy--I'm not opposed to antibiotics, but I consider it the nuclear option. So I started the mastic gum, and despite my concerns about the lack of pungent odor (which I actually find off-putting), I haven't experienced the nausea in several days now. I'm using this product in combination with bismuth, and it seems to be doing the job. I'm very pleased.

I dont really know why there is even any reviews saying this product does not work or that there is not any mastic gum in the capsules, let me tell you that if there isnt any mastic gum in these then i dont know what they have but they completely solved my gastritis/ h pylori symptoms! Nothing use to work for me i was on so many medications from my doctors it was to the point I couldn’t sleep or eat anything because everything made me so sick as soon as I started taking these maybe 2 weeks in i stoped all other medications and just take these once at morning and once at night and i can say I finally can eat normal foot and almost zero burning in my chest ! These capsules saved me from going to a g i specialist I totally recommend them!!

If i could rate this product with a negative integer i would..The garbage capsules arrived on 3/7..Upon arrival i took one capsule. On 3/8 i took two capsules..On 3/9 after taking two capsules i did not notice any of the familiar flavor that comes from taking mastic gum, from burping or on my breath..I took a capsule on 3/10 and by that afternoon of 3/10 i started feeling very nauseous, my whole intestinal tract started hurting, and i got a burning sensation in my throat..On 3/11 i quit taking the product, and the next couple days were brutal intestinal tract trauma..Major acid reflux, very painful intestinal tract, and brutal nausea, couldnt work and had a really hard time sleeping..I had moments where i considered going to the E.R..Today, 3/15 i am just starting to feel a bit better..I had to buy and take cimetidine around the clock, and baking soda and water..I havent had any prior gastrointestinal problems. I took mastic gum every couple of years to make sure that didnt happen..I opened several of the capsules and there isnt even a whiff of mastic gum..It looks like rice flour and microcrystaline cellulose, which is wood pulp..and god knows what else..There is no mastic gum in these capsules..Id also like to add that when i look at other mastic gum capsules on Amazon, i see that there are a decent percentage of people who are also seeing that the capsules that they are getting have no mastic gum in them...This is fraud people, im considering taking these capsules somewhere and having them tested...I will no longer be trusting the Amazon recommended products...I also wont be buying any more supplements from Amazon, until they give a satisfaction guaranteed return option on all supplements...Dont waste your money here, you may just end up in the E.R...

My doctor recommended Mastic Gum for leaky gut and it seems to help in conjunction with other treatments, such as targeted probiotics. I switched to Double Wood because it is one of the brands he recommends, is less expensive than another, and is available for subscribe and save.I would subscribe to supplements without the savings just to not have to keep track of ordering them.
