Johnny Cash: The Memorial Songbook 1932-2003 for Piano, Voice and Guitar

Excellent book even without the written music. If you are aJC fan this is a must have.

brilliant value and book

If I wanted a JC piano book this would be mildly useful (albeit not many songs and basic arrangements) but let’s be honest, who wants to play Cash on piano? For guitar it’s impractical - songs strung over multiple pages, lyrics bunched together after the music... if you can read music properly the transcriptions are decent but I imagine most players will be looking for tabs. It’s an attractive book with some good written material about Cash’s career but look elsewhere if you want to pick it up and knock out his songs.

Contient plusieurs partitions pour guitare et piano mais ne sert à rien si on est guitariste. Ce qui est intéressant est de récupérer des partitions d'enregistrements faits dans la dernière partie de la vie de J. Cash. ( reprises de The Wanderer de U2). A noter sur "Ring of Fire", une différence de tonalité entre l'écoute de Cash et la partition retranscrite.

I bought this book for my husband. He seems to enjoy the words and notes.
