Traveler Guitar Headphone Amp - Acoustic (TGA-1A)

Arrived when expected, and is and performs as expected. This product provides EXACTLY what I was looking for, an EASY method for me to hear myself playing my fiddle! I use this both when I practice alone (helps me w/my intonation and volume) and when I play in a large group jam (can hear myself). I plug it into my fiddle pickup. I use an AUX connector cable and my iBeats headset. I will mention that I noticed that the quality of the sound you hear is dependent on the quality of AUX cable and headset you use with it.

This headphone amp goes from slightly crunchy to full out distortion for your practice on the road or at home. I have a Pro-Series Traveler, which I specifically chose so I wouldn't need power to practice with it on the road. However, as another reviewer stated, using the stethophone for long periods of time hurts your ears (maybe not for smaller heads). In my case, after pulling it wider many times, I can now play about 45 minutes or so before I need to stop. To take my Traveler on vacation instead of a business trip, I needed to be able to play longer than 45 minutes at a time. This fit the bill perfectly - I can play for hours. As a bonus, when my amp recently went in the shop, I was able to use this on my full size guitar to get me through. I also love the fact it has a rechargeable battery.Be aware that there is basically no clean tone with this. Even at the lowest gain, unless you pull the guitar volume back quite a bit, it will still have a little crunch. If you mostly play clean, there is a separate "acoustic" version.I have not suffered delay as someone else noted, nor any fit issues. Some reviewers complain about the sound; this has a very serviceable sound at tremendous convenience for a very low price. It's plenty adequate to practice.

WOW! I got an electric guitar during the first wave of COVID-19 because in a small apartment four of us were online and I thought it would be a good solution to be able to play quietly enough as to not disturb my family. I bought an amp which I thought had a head[hone jack but didn't - BOO! until I discovered that these headphone jacks make it possible to listen on headphones without an amp around. SUPER AMAZING! This is absolutely the coolest product made by a company that makes high quality travel guitars. It was really hard to find because the big music stores are pushing these other headphone amps which are specific to genre of music and cost at least 2 - 3 times as much. PLUS the more expensive ones take batteries! This wonderful Traveler comes with a USB charging wire and the plastic container that the amp comes in can be reused to hold the two. It works great and I am so pumped about playing electric guitar after 50 years of acoustic!
