Deals well with low levels of smoking
Recently moved to a house where I have my own home office. The little office is great, but quite small. As I like to smoke a few roll ups at night (tobacco only) it's important to keep the air as clear as possible so the smell and smoke doesn't leak to the rest of the house. This is a job that this air purifier is very good at. I can also enter the room in the morning and it doesn't smell of the night before, despite the small window. The app is excellent to use, super simple - although it doesn't seem to allow you to set a stopping time, which would be handy. However, a) The purifier needs to be set to Turbo *both* during *and* for ~ 15-20 minutes after the last puff and b) I do not believe it would deal with industrial cigarettes (ready made in a pack) as well as it does with the roll ups. This is based on another person smoking one of those in the home office; the sensor shot up to double the pollution values it does with the roll ups. If you are a smoker that puffs all day, and especially the industrial cigarettes, I doubt this purifier would make much of a dent. You'd probably need a more specialised one that's at least double the size.

Great product
It is a great product, when it is on you can feel the change of the air quality, auto mode is silent, so clearing the air without making any noise, turbo mode is a bit noisy, but you can also feel the air moving around - as if you would have fan on. Recommend.

Excellent
Excellent product. Quiet and easy to use. It looks good too, but mainly clears the air of anything unwanted.

Quiet when in sleep mode, but overall OK
I base this review having had a cheaper rival for a couple of years. I suffer a number of allergies. I bought this Philips unit on the basis of less changes of filters, quiet running and the brand. Set-up was straightforward. The app connected the unit to my WiFi via my Android phone. I liked that you can set a timed schedule to avoid it running all the time. In sleep mode, it was very quiet. When running at full speed, it is very noisy, but does work as a cooling fan. Unfortunately there is no option to turn off the LED light on the control button, which is an issue for me. Having run this for a few days and nights, I personally did not get any noticeable benefit, so doesn't justify the price. Clearly from other reviews, some get benefit, but not for me.

Great. Does what it's supposed to do.
Noise level was as expected as you won't get an air purifier that's totally silent, but if you do buy one that promotes itself as silent, then don't expect it to work that efficiently as it's not going to be that powerful to draw in the air around it.

You get what you pay for.
After previously owning an air purifer for half the price from an unknown brand, I was relatively happy with its performance and dust was noticably reduced in the room/house.. come the time to replace the filter, it costs almost as much as the machine in the first place. So i decided to splash out on this Phillips unit, with affordable filters that I believe will be obtainable long-term... and I can honestly say, the performance is even better the air flow is stronger and the dust in the room has been reduced even further than previous. App also works very well, has all the information you could need. Yeah its not cheap, but given the brand its safe to say in the longer term it'll save me money just using filters, not to mention it looks/feels like a solid bit of kit.

Almost perfect
I've been very impressed with it so far, purifier and app are great. What would make it perfect is if I could disable turbo in auto mode, it's way too loud. It'd make it less efficient but a lot quieter. Or even better, to be able to adjust the fan curve. Also, does the beep have to be as loud and harsh? Maybe my hearing is just too sensitive but as fans go.... Silent mode is very quiet. I had a bit of trouble connecting to my wifi but got there in the end by also disabling mobile data while setting up. Also, make sure you connect to the 2.4ghz WiFi. I still give it 5* but please Philips, give us a few more options to control noise/fans/beep.

After using it for some time, I realized that I used to get headaches due to poor air quality but not anymore. I highly recommend it. The turbo mode is a little noisy, but all the other features are very good.
