Although a reasonable chess set and a good size, the quality is nothing like as good as claimed on Amazon and therefore not the bargain it seems. Most of the pieces have glue “blobs” on them (as they are glued and not carved from a single piece of wood) also the box clasps are very low quality which I do not anticipate lasting too long with use. The pieces (incl extra queens!) are housed in a sponge cut out. Again the quality of the cut outs and adhesion within the box is dubious. The set however would be perfectly acceptable with a price tag below £20, unfortunately I paid considerably more.

Absolutely first class product! Beautifully finished and the perfect travel size , my boys love it! I'll be buying another for myself.

Lovely box, with characterful pieces, each with its own dedicated space for putting away. Good value. One small flaw, one of the clasps on the box was incomplete. Otherwise a super buy.
