Sturdy daikon oroshi grater
This is a sturdy and well made daikon oroshi grater. I was surprised by the size - larger than normal graters. But it does not move around as you grate because of the weight. It is easy to grate because each up and down movement produces grated daikon. The texture of the daikon is fluffy and light, not gritty or chunky. This kitchen utensil will last for a long time and it will likely not have to replace it. The handle has a hole for easy organizing by hanging inside a cabinet or on a wall.

Ok
Best for preparing roots like wasabi and ginger. Larger grate teeth would improve efficacy. Not an alternative to a microplaner.

Good, but not refined in any way
This product deserves 4 starts because it does the job well. However, no 5 stars because It's not refined, especially the metal handle which is not all that comfortable to use. The small, U-shaped handle reduces your leverage if you are trying to use it without resting the bottom (the long side) on the counter. However, I remember not seeing much better options at this price-point. A fancier one could cost double perhaps.

Good for large Fruits and Vegetables
I used product to finely grate items for breads and sauces. Pros: Easy to use, quite a well made sturdy and sharp grater. Cons: Grater's teeth are very short and too together. It has grate teeth on both sides but there is no difference in final product producing apple sauce consistency. So, I cannot say it works well if you're looking for variation. Speed and ease of use is hard on the wrist leading to grip fatigue due to the grate shredders being too close and small. If I am in my return window it is going back.

Consider this
Great product but, don’t plan on grated ginger to go thru the screen, it’s all a top the shredder?and you must use a spatula to scrape it off to your cooking situations .
