Great little coffee filter machine.
Fabulous little coffee filter machine. I use it on a daily basis and it's ideal for one person, don't be mislead by the 2 cups that means 2 regular coffee cups but it's the perfect amount for 1 mug of coffee.

You get what you pay for
This honest review is for the smallest, the 2 cup wonder of the Melitta Aromaboy (beige) range. Firstly, it was really good to find a two cup machine with a hot plate, so that in itself is a plus. As you would expect from the brand, looks and performs well, and the end result is two cups of good fresh coffee. But, as ever, it’s all in the detail. Setting it up with water and coffee is easy and accurate, but the whole jug and filter assembly leaves something to be desired. If, like me, you are used to the filter part remaining attached to the upper part, you are going get a surprise. The filter component sits loose on the jug, resulting in a rather “rattling” affair as you extricate the jug from the rest of the machine. Simply put, the coffee filter holder comes out with the jug. Included is a separate “plug” to keep the heat in once the filter part has been removed, almost as an apology. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll work with what they give me, but for the sake of an extra £10, they could have come up with a perfect machine to match the perfect cup of coffee. The overall feeling is of a “budget” machine, but if they ever come out with a more well thought out two cupper, I’ll be the first to jump on it.

Perfectly formed ease !
I recently started using the Melitta Aroma Boy small filter coffee machine, and it has genuinely transformed my daily routine. This compact and efficient machine brews a perfect cup of coffee every time, making my mornings smoother and more enjoyable. The design is sleek and fits perfectly in my kitchen without taking up much space. Its user-friendly interface makes it incredibly easy to operate, even on groggy mornings. I love the programmable timer feature, which allows me to wake up to the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The quality of the coffee is exceptional, with a rich, full-bodied flavor that rivals more expensive models. The machine's quick brewing time is another standout feature, ensuring I never have to wait long for my caffeine fix. Cleaning and maintenance are a breeze, thanks to the removable parts and straightforward design. Overall, the Melitta Aroma Boy small filter coffee machine has become an indispensable part of my daily life, enhancing both my mornings and my overall productivity. Highly recommended for anyone seeking convenience and quality in their coffee routine.

No waste
This really small coffee maker is ideal for one standard mug, filling it to maximum on the machine scale. Unlike my previous large machine there is no coffee poured down the sink. Note : be aware of the " with filters " option. They are massive and totally the wrong size. The machine takes size 100 filters, so shop around for filters and just buy the machine

great little coffee machine
this little filtered coffee machine is really good. It is great for making one cup which is great for me as i really enjoy my filtered coffee. It has one cup and two cup markings, but one cup would be really strong but would be great for making that cold coffee milky drink in the summer. This little machine also has a warming plate so if you come back a few minutes later after the coffee has brewed its still hot.

Handy for solo cups, but doesn’t match bigger machines.
If you just want one mug of black coffee in the morning without much fuss, the AromaBoy does the job. It’s compact, simple to use, and brews quickly. Great for small kitchens or solo setups. That said, the build quality feels basic, plasticy and the glass jug does not feel the most robust, which seems quite. While the coffee it can make is decent, it lacks the depth you’d get from more premium machines like a Moccamaster, or indeed a manual pourover like a V60. Filters can also be a bit tricky to source. It’s cute and functional, just don’t expect premium results.

Cute retro coffee maker
I have plugged this into a smart plug and I put the coffee and water the night before. This allows me to schedule the coffee maker to brew in the morning at a specific time or via alexa. Pretty neat. Takes about 3-4 mins to brew a cup (250ml) .. the markings are for espresso cups (125ml), so 2 cups is really 1 proper cup.

Love the portability and practicality
I ultimately decided to buy this for the caravan however I suspect I will have to buy another to use at home. I am the only person in the house who drinks coffee so never took the plunge on a normal drip coffee machine as they usually perform better for a larger pot of coffee so this seemed like an ideal purchase. I knew it was small but it’s much smaller than I expected, that being said it produced more coffee than I thought it would, so creates a really decent sized coffee. In regards to its brew, it doesn’t use a shower head so does tunnel slightly but still produces a perfectly nice (perhaps blonder) coffee, and certainly performs similarly to other <£50 machines. I am still playing with grind size so maybe it’s more down to me. I know I could have spent more money on a machine that produces better coffee, however I don’t think I could have purchased a machine with as much personality as the Aromaboy without financing a Moccamaster
