Q: It does have remote display with it?

Yes. There is a remote display attached to the unit with a ten foot cord. I place my Chrony on a tripod the proper distance from my muzzle (as described in the manual). Then stretch the cord to my bench rest. I shoot then record the results. The "Manual" is not very good, it doesn't tell you much. tip: replace the aluminum screen supports with wooden Dowels. This way if you accidently hit one, it doesn't hurt the unit.

If put together correctly and the battery is good and it still does not work contact the mfg. 1-800-385-3161 (9 am - 5 pm E.S.T.)

Q: will this unit work if there is no sunlight? also is there a Chrony that is less than .5 percent accuracy made by this brand?

John Brandt. Not sure if this unit will work with the complete absence of light but I have shot through during sunrise. It was not completely dark but it did register the shot. No idea if there's a unit that touts 0.5% accuracy.
