Official US Military Polartec Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) Fleece Pants Overalls Medium Long

First off, these are definitely worth the price. What you have here is a MID-LAYER ski pants. These are not intended to be worn as a base layer (they have zippers all over that will be irritating without long underwear or base layer underneath) and it is not water proof to be worn strictly as outer "ski pants", especially in bad weather or if you find yourself on the ground quite a bit. But, if you have a base layer and you have waterproof pants like I do, this is an excellent mid layer to add warmth without a lot of bulk during especially cold days or high altitudes.My pants had a label inside indicating these are for people taller than 71", so intended for those 5'11" or taller. I am around a 33-34" waist and the medium was plenty roomy.I will give them a shot next time I'm out in very cold weather as a mid-layer, but just wearing them around the house, they seem pretty well made and certainly worth their space in my ski bag.

Bought two of these for my girlfriend and I. The fit is as advertised and they do run short as they are designed to go to your boot tops. I bought the longs and the length is perfect for my 5'7" frame. My girlfriend is taller and they fit her as well. These are very warm and work great over sweat pants or jeans as an extra layer. They are not designed to block out a windstorm so be advised that is not their purpose. However, if you were to wear these under snow pants etc, you will indeed be very toasty and warm. You won't find better fleece at this price. Polartec designs their fleece for military abuse and they will last a lifetime. The zippers are heavy duty and work smoothly and the suspenders seem quite adequate as well.

I was getting ready to buy new ski pants because the ones I have are not insulated. I was prepared to fork over several hundred bucks when I read about these and figured I'd give it a shot. They did not disappoint, the quality is really good with lots of zippers, and they are very warm. I purchased the Medium Long based on another review and they fit me well (I am 6'1" with a 35" waist). NOTE that the legs are not actually full-length like normal pants, they end about 8-10 inches off the floor- but this is exactly what I wanted because I will be wearing ski boots. I'm not planning to wear them down to the post office on a winter's day, they will always be worn under ski pants.

Well this being one of the coldest winters in quite a while my wife and I decided to purchase a couple pairs of these. For the price we didn't think it was too bad a decision if they didn't work out. Well, when they arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the material and workmanship to be very good. We were also pleased by how well they kept the warmth in. I would recommend these to anyone working out in the cold. Just make sure you order the longer size as they are designed for a long boot upper.

The medium long is fine for my 33x30 pant size. The 200 weight polartec is hard to find, these pants are an excellent bargain and turned out to be just what we were looking for. Only thing preventing 5 stars is some air leajs at the leg zippers, not a problem with a long silk base layer

I love the price, the comfort and the fit. It is perfect for this cold-blooded CA girl to combat the cold weather I anticipated in my move to UT. I love all the zippers making it very easy to wear all day long and get out of with very little effort. The price was very reasonable and it washes like a dream.

These seem decent quality for the price. They held up over one winter. I would have returned them as they don't fit my 6-foot frame (32" inseam) but I passed them to my 5'5" daughter and they fit fine. She also notes that they tend to get soaked through.

Good insualting layer. Fleece is very soft and comfortable. Very warm over silk base layer. 2 way zipper in front is a great feature. Full length leg zippers are also convenient. Bib style prevents cold drafts.
