Entertaining and Spooky
I figure that if you are interested in this subject, you like ghosts and other paranormal stories. This book will not disappoint. There are unexplained events in our world. It's interesting to me to read about what others have experienced. If you agree, you will enjoy this book.

It's a decent read. Could have been more down to earth tho. Still not bad. Not as good as The Tale Tell Lilac Bush

Even Better Than the First Book in the Series!
There are some really amazing and highly memorable stories in this book, and Jim Harold really deserves a lot of credit for yet again being able to successfully assemble a wonderfully spine tingling collection such as this. Like the previous volume in this series, he didn't write the majority of the text himself, but someone sure did an excellent job of collecting, ordering, and editing the material, that's for darned sure.Thankfully, barring an omitted word here and there, there really aren't all that many (or even any truly noticeable) mistakes in the manuscript. And even though there are a whopping seventy (count 'em), SEVENTY authentic paranormal tales within the pages of True Ghost Stories: Jim Harold's Campfire 2, I would have to honestly say that with only a couple of very minor exceptions, almost every single one of the stories is absolutely fascinating, thoroughly engrossing, and just plain creepy!Like it's predecessor, True Ghost Stories: Jim Harold's Campfire 1, book 2 is divided into sections. The actual ghost stories, the real supernatural meat and potatoes of any suitably frightening collection such as this, naturally come first and make up the bulk of the content. Then, in the last quarter or so of the book, the narrative gradually begins to segue into other types of paranormal phenomena, such as out of body experiences, visitations from departed loved ones, UFO encounters, etc.Best of all, I would even argue that this second volume in the series is even better than the first -which really comes as a most pleasant surprise, believe me. And again, even the one or two odd stories that (arguably) aren't quite as chilling as the rest are still very interesting and very fun to read. Some of this material is even bound to haunt you! So, if you enjoy good scary ghost stories (and related paranormal oddities) that seem to never stop coming, this is definitely the book for you.

Wish I could split these stars!
I love real people telling their real ghost stories, and the fact that they're badly edited doesn't bother me too much, because they ARE real people telling their own stories, not artists pacing their narratives for effect, but I still have a hard time giving four stars to something badly edited. I don't think Harold himself should have edited them, though, so I don't know what to suggest. I guess I think of this collection the same way I think of Harold's weekly podcast: he has both intelligent, credible guests, and ignorant, out-there guests, and Harold himself himself has a healthy mix of belief and skepticism and a generous attitude, so even when I think a guest is a nutcase I still look forward to Harold's interviews. I do NOT think the ghost-seers are nut cases, but honest people with interesting stories, and Harold has treated them with his typical generous spirit. I'm not sure I would have leapt up and downloaded the book on the spot if it hadn't been on sale for $3, but I would still have made a point of reading it.

Spooky stories galore!
Well, he's done it again! I was eagerly waiting for this new book of campfire stories to come out, and I am so glad to have it in my library! After I read the very first story, I could picture just what that "seรฑorita" lamp must have looked like, as I can well remember those novelty lamps with the lights in the skirt. I love reading these true stories of unusual experiences from other ordinary folks. Some are scary, some are entertaining, and there are even a few chuckles, in there. Perfect timing, just as fall is arriving, and I was getting tired of summer and ready for some spooky evenings with popcorn, pumpkin pie, and hot cider...I have been an avid listener of Jim Harold's "Paranormal Podcast" from the beginning, as well as a Plus Club member right from the git-go. Jim has an amazing way of presenting these fascinating topics, no matter the claim, he is non judgmental, asks insightful questions that get his guests to really bring out interesting information about their topics, and has introduced me, through his podcasts, to many extremely interesting subjects I would not have otherwise discovered. Thanks Jim!

Exceptional read and a great experience.
The name of the book is True Ghost Stories: Jim Harold's Campfire 2 and it is a sequel of sorts to Jim's first book. That is where the summarily ends. I found this book to be better, if that is even possible, than his first. The stories are richer and even more polished. They read like great care was taken to maintain the campfire experience and retain that feeling that you get when are listening to his podcast live. You can still feel caller's emotions that they put into their stories. Overall, this book is an exceptional read and one that has given me a great experience. On a side note: I had the pleasure of being on Jim's show to share my story and personal experience. If there is a better host out there I have yet to meet him. Jim makes you feel welcome from the very start. I highly recommend not only his book but his shows as well. Thank you Jim!-Ron

Pretty good. Love the short story aspects
Pretty good. Love the short story aspects. However, because it is being told from several different people, it was hard to get in the flow of each story when the voices shifted. My example would be when you didn't know the story was from a woman or a man but used pronouns. Then at the end if the name was obvious enough, you would figure it out. I think the name should be at the beginning of each sector. Like "So and So Story" told by "NAME".

Spooky!
This is as good as the first one, with some odd happenings that I've never come across before. Well-written, and powerful because these are true stories which happened to ordinary people who were just living their lives. Must go now, Campfire 3 is waiting for me. Sweet dreams...?
