Stainless Thermometer, 5 Inches

I used it to fry fish: it never registered over 300 degrees. Put fish in and it burned in a matter of seconds. I used a meat thermometer to see what was going on. It registered over 475. I threw out the thermometer along with the fish.

I like that I can adjust it to fit on all the cooking pans I have. It's well worth the extra money. I bought two of them.

Works great for my little deep fryer. Nice to know when desired temp is reached between batches.

The thermometers I received had a half red and half white dial. I ordered this one because of the white dial in the picture. The red segment is almost unreadable.Not happy.

Well, it came free with my fryer.But that was the only thing that saved it from a one-star.Would you need a tachometer in your car that went to 12,000 rpm if your motor would explode at 6,000 rpm? Half of the scale is in the "oh-sh*t" range.The graduations and numbers are so squinched-up and tiny on the usable range (0-400) that you need a magnifier to see the numbers. How about a thermometer that went from 0 to 400 or 500 with legible numbers and graduations?For a company that makes serious fryers and cooking equipment, this is a disappointment. Sadly, they even put their name on it.If you want a thermometer that is readable and useful, avoid this one. There are plenty of alternatives here on Amazon.
