I bought this for my 2 year old son as he was starting a bilingual daycare. He understands some chinese from past babysitters. I have to turn on the book for him and set it to the right language but he presses the buttons easily—more easily than other talking books. He laughs and laughs and repeatedly presses the same two or three objects on each page, but it’s a lot of entertainment for him. Looking forward to when he can change the language and understand the differences between them.

Toddler loved the Cantonese book even though it was somewhat difficult for him to press, especially since he has to lean on the book to reach the top row of buttons and he’s accidentally clicking all random buttons.It finally came time to charge and I’m so lucky I happened to touch the cord and felt it super hot. I tried to use something nearby to help pull the cord out but it stripped the plastic covering and was starting to burn the inner wires. We are very lucky I was able to pull it off before anything serious happened.EDIT1: Couldn’t find a place to contact seller but maybe I got a different model because I went back and found the battery location on the side which we didn’t even realize existed before trying the usb charging option. For safety, if you have this book, maybe try using batteries instead.EDIT2: Found a contact. The company is working with me on a replacement for the problems. Will see how that goes.

My grand loves the songs in both languages. I especially like using it to teach her what to call her Asian grandparents.

This interactive trilingual audio learning toy offers a unique and engaging way to introduce language skills to children. It introduces English, Cantonese, and Mandarin languages, making it an excellent tool for language exposure and learning. Though the speaker could use some improvement.

Pros- I was really excited for my son to have an electronic Cantonese electronic with English and Mandarin too. There’s many pages to flick through and even songs to play.Cons- Unfortunately it malfunctions and sticks on a one sound repetition. Turning off then on doesn’t solve the problem but it works well again the next day, so this can get very frustrating for my son.I found some strange, less common words used to translate some items that I’m not familiar with, also the annunciating of at least a couple of the words was slightly off.

Thank you for making this. My kid loves it. She loves to press the pages, listen to songs, repeat the words. She's 2yo and is learning so much!She does thing Danny's English voice is a little creepy tho

As an adult I even enjoyed going through it and pressing all the buttons to see what it would unveil.

The book is a great find but unfortunately the audio no longer works and I can’t return it as the return window closed. It is quite expensive for something that doesn’t last.
