So easy to use! Prep is important - remove the old rope and have a good clean of the rope-runs (to remove old glue, rope, rusty bits and ash). Then, fit the rope to gauge size and cut accordingly (using the included tape to seal the rope ends), then get to sticking! The glue isn’t runny at all, it’s very thick (needing a good squeeze to get out of the tube) and goes in to the rope-runs easily. Once the glues in, press the rope in place. I glued the rope at the top of the door as a start, then down the sides, then across the bottom, and the middle last (as this couldn’t be clamped). YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE DOOR! I fitted the new rope with the door in place and used washing pegs to clamp in place while setting (it’s advised not to close the burner door for at least an hour after gluing new rope). So very easy to do. Great product.

This kit works well as long as you follow the instructions, but before you cut the rope, use the tape to bind the rope and then cut it in the middle of the tape, this will stop the rope fraying. They glue needs to set before you put the doors back.

Generally OK but glue bottle split, which made it a bit messy. Seals seem to work well.

Great, simple to install, sorted leak in stove, would be great to get more adhesive to rope ratio. Otherwise delighted to sort issues, simply and cost effectively.

Replacing the stove rope was a job I wasn’t looking forward to doing but it was a doddle! This pack had everything needed. The 2m length of 10mm rope was simple to cut and more than enough to seal the stove door and the adhesive was easy to apply to the groove.The hardest part was removing the old rope and removing/cleaning residue with a wire brush. It is important to get the correct thickness of rope but your old rope will give you a clue.I tried to buy this product locally, but gave up for various reasons. This Amazon seller delivered the kit within 3 days with free p&p.Now that’s service.

The quality was very poor it started to fray and fall apart had to replace it after 3months paid extra for better quality

All around the door to the wood burner and I still have some left. Nice tight seal around the door means increased fuel efficiency. Excellent product.
