Big help
I got rid of my gavel in the fish tank and I found this kit.And I feel that the tank is better off.I kept the inner circle too, so big circle I do not push to the bottom of the tank i let it keep a gap.So excess food and waste can walk down the outside of the tank still and go into the inner circle filter. To me a lot better.

Good barrier for fry and small fish
Although this is intended for using different media such as gravel or fancy stone, you should stick with BioOrbs ceramic media as it’s part of the biological filter medium which houses the beneficial bacteria for breaking down waste.I purchased this purely to stop baby molly fry from getting underneath the filter intake. This will also stop the fear of smaller fish from getting down there too.

Quite expensive for what is essentially just a piece of foam but it does enable you to use a wider range of gravel in your biorb rather than the ceramic media that you're instructed to use.

Very happy with it otherwise
Works very well, but expensive for what it is, really should cost a lot less. Very happy with it otherwise.

Looks a good idea. We shall have to see
very very over priced. nothing special. Just a foam ring. must have cost all of 50p to make.don't know if it works or not I have just put it in the tank. might work might not. Looks a good idea. We shall have to see. 3 weeks later I had to take it out the tank did no good at all

Floats up
Seemed like a good idea, but with Biorb media and stones on top of it to hold it down it still kept lifting up, especially when cleaning the tank, so after a couple of months I took it out. May be ok with gravel and to stop fry getting sucked into the filter. I use a turkey baster after a water change to get right to the bottom of the tank, gets lots of fish waste out. Also very expensive for what it is

Great product!
Very simple product that reduces issues with baby fish being taken into the filter.I would really recommend to anyone reading this!
