Amtech U5250 Ball of String for Craft, Home, Garden and Gift Wrap, White, 3 Pieces of 45 metre

Given the previous 5 star reviews I suspect the product has changed. This would be consistent with the fact that the balls of... "string"? that were delivered do not match the picture. The "string" is thinner, light brown and plat of the threads is loose and irregular, but most importantly it is VERY weak. I compared it to a single thread of cotton of the type used to sew-on a shirt button. The difference in strength is not discernible. The criteria, "Fit for purpose" is difficult to apply because the type of string depicted is used for a variety of applications, e.g. securing a parcel for postage, trussing a turkey for the oven etc. The string delivered is too weak to be considered for either of those purposes and I cannot think of an application it would be useful for. It is utter, useless JUNK! The vendor should be ashamed of themselves for offering it as something worth paying any number of pennies for.

Great quick delivery through prime, the string did what I needed it to, although the string isn't very strong it snaps very easily.

Standard string, does not seem that strong. Was okay for what I needed.
