Great quality!
I got these for making pulled pork in my backyard grill. I like to "stab" the meat with the claws right off the fire into my trays for shredding. Meat is pretty darn hot and the main reason I got these is to calm my fears of melting plastic in my pulled pork. Also, pulling pork is pretty messy work, so I just feel better using something natural. The bamboo used for this reminds me of those bamboo spatulas you see everywhere.The construction is very sturdy, and heavier than I thought they'd be. The grip is very non-slip even after heavy use probably because bamboo is porous, as compared to plastic. The claws are not as curved as plastic ones and definitely not as sharp as metal claws. I don't find that a big problem because if I make the meat right it shreds pretty easily. I actually find that I'm less scared to puncture the aluminum pans when using these. However, if you're looking for claws to CUT the meat as your pull, I'd find metal ones.Overall very happy. On a non-utilitarian note, people love how these look. It's very unique. Adds a bit to the mood of the BBQ... On a non-BBQ note, sometimes I just hold the claws and pretend I'm wolverine haha
