Q: I am not certain what this is for I just bought the origional misti and it comes with paper is this vinyl to be used as a substitute for the paper?

Yes. Put it in the misti when you are using clear cling stamps to elevate the paper up so it will make contact with the stamp. Since it's vinyl, it will clean off easily.

Q: Can this mouse pad replace the foam pad?

This is designed to be used in the MISTI, but it's not to replace the foam pad. It replaces the paper grids and would be used like the paper grids that come with the MISTI. When you are using photopolymer stamps that are thinner, you should use this pad with the foam pad, but remove the foam pad when stamping with the rubber, thicker stamps. I like this pad because you can wipe it clean when necessary, and it doesn't crinkle up like the paper grids.

Q: Do they make this for the larger Misti?

This fits the original size Misti. NOT= the small or 12x12 sizes.

Q: Would this work well as a wipe-off stamping and blending mat without using on the misti? I like the grid lines that most mats do not have.

It would work for stamping as it's cushioned and would give as you stamp. You could also just wipe off blending ink ... just be aware that it fits inside of the Misti and is roughly 6.5 inches by 8.5 inches.
