So I'm not one to leave reviews in general. However, getting my paws on this today impressed me so much I had to let others know. This works with magnets! But, it's not just a simple magnet interface. They have recessed a flat backing on the pin with their logo that matches the powerful magnets. It doesn't hang limply on your clothing and it attaches flush, just like in Starfleet. Great work and I'll be looking for more pins like this in the future!

Bought this product for collection purposes and for the up coming comiccon here on Ft. Lauderdale, think geek was the first to bring this to my attention when they came to the market. So decided to look on AMAZON and what do ya know, Now the k my thing I did not like was the fact it doesn't come with the ranking pips etched into the alfa badge, however there are some out there but due to licensing and legalities makers have to design there products with differences. So for the look this is the best that I've seen and not have to pay an arm for it. And yes it is metal with brushed finish on raised side, and polished o. The lower side. The fastener is a fairly strong magnet that fastens to the outfit Instead of holes like a needle fastener. All in all I thinks its awsome, hope this helps.

The magnets are great, it doesn't leave holes in our clothes. And I don't need to worry about the kids getting poked. Arrived in great condition and kids were very excited to open the packages. They occasionally come loose and fall off when we're rough housing together, but only when pressed firmly. Otherwise they stay on really well and sturdy when generally wearing. We like to hang them on the fridge when not using.

It's fun to have and to wear. The hole back isn't a magnet to sometimes the fabric rincals around it. But I still like it!

This is the first item of this type I have purchased. It is a high quality product, made from excellent material. The finish on the product is particularly well done with no imperfections. The magnetic backing plate is well designed and holds well on my shirt without causing damage. Overall aesthetic is excellent and can fit well with day-to-day wear for myself! (corporate wear) Great product made by Quantum Mechanix - will be purchasing others.

Diario personale del Dottor Albenga, Uss Vespucci. Starfleet era a corto di badge e ci ha indicato la stazione spaziale A-Mzn dove potevano avere delle scorte. Purtroppo la stazione è gestita dai Ferengi, gente che venderebbe pure sua madre per guadagno. Il capitano ha dovuto usare tutta la propria diplomazia e astuzia per riuscire ad ottenere i badge che ci servivano, ma alla fine abbiamo avuto un prodotto di ottima qualità. Rispetta le dimensioni della flotta stellare e si può trasferire, grazie ai magneti, su ogni vestito che non sia troppo spesso. Rispetto alle spille o alle toppe classiche l'equipaggio si è trovato molto meglio.

Sehr schön verarbeitet, hält bis jetzt auf dünnen Jacken und normalen Pullis. Dank der Magneten keine Löcher in der Kleidung. Im Alltag sehr gut an der Kleidung tragbar.

I ordered the Medical classed badge from Amazon. It came well and securely packaged. It is roughly an inch long at the middle point to the tip of the badge. The magnetic closure is strong - perhaps a tad too strong - but it fastens on securely without the puncture damage actual pin badges cause. The badge is sleek and well made with a good weight to it. The ends are pointed and are sharp to touch. The front of the badge is made of one singular piece of metal that is hollow on the inside so it is not as heavy as it would be otherwise. Fingerprints can show up on the badge but not so easily.
